For people asking about pain it really wasn't bad at all and they don't hurt afterwards at all. Atleast for me. I went to a guy who was one of the first testers for it. I have 8 total and one done though scar tissue (go ripped by my seatbelt) and even that hurt less than my nose. Beware they are addicting!
Do you still have it?? I let one placed on the same place in september 2008. Last month i had to remove it because it was always infected. In the beginning i was sad about it because i loved it but now i'm glad it's removed.
The needle and dermal puch are BOTH VIABLE AND PERFECTLY CORRECT methods of doing dermal anchors.
They each have their own advantages and disadvantages. While it's true that punchs can be less traumatic, the needle offers greater depth control.
In the hands of a highly skilled piercer, the needle is often the superior method. So often I see microdermals done with punches that are sticking too far out.
what makes them stay in?i have my anti eye brow done and i get it court on my shirts all the time what happens if you knock them will it rip out? i want one in the middle of my boobs but i scared might rip it out
theres like a bar across the bottom which makes it sit under ur skin. i have had it done again since this because my 1st one rejected, with my 2nd one i just got bored of it really and ripped it out, took alot of tugging.
omg, you ripped it out!! ahh, sounds painful!!! i want single wrist piercing - but, i have to wait a few more months until i am 18! :( got my hip pierced yesterday though! :)... i didn't know these anchor piercings rejected?? my wrist piercing started to reject, so i took it out and that's why i wanted the single one... isit painful to get done (the anchor one)?
There are several methods to dermal piercings. All kinds of trained and professional piercers will tell you that each method works better for different types of people. No one method is better or worse than any other method. All people's bodies react differently to each situation.
I wanted a surface piercing but my skin cant get it.
I really recommend this ones
There are just 2 bad things abaut this ones: EXPENSIVE!! and it hurts like shit. but 2 hours later the pain disappears AT ALL. at least that was from me.
im a piercer.....dermal punches are useless for anchors....they leave to bigger hole...trust me iv tried....and alot of these are awkward to get in...great job mrs piercer
my piercer uses the tool/needle she used in the video, she fluffed about abit in your vid didnt she?? took a while to do... both mine took roughly 10 seconds after i decided where i wanted it and he dotted the spot etc..
hurts much much much less than a standard lobe piercing..
i have 3 now and this is just the beginning... cant wait to get loads more!
they don't hurt, a piercing, or tattoo hurt worse, she should have used a dermal punch, still not bad tho, if she used a dermal punch she wouldnt have had as much trouble putting it in
Dermal punches cause a lot more trauma to the skin than is healthy for a piercing to heal properly ... they're good for some surface staple concepts, but not much else. Lancets are sufficient for just about anything. Besides, the type of incision a dermal punch creates would be too large and loose for a dermal anchor. They're supposed to "pop", or they won't stay in properly once the initial swelling is down.
ones round the boobs dont heal up as easy x

NEVER WITH A NEEDLE
SERIOUSLY YOU NEED TO PUNCTURE WITH DERMALS
otherwise it will bruise swell and be so painful

dermal punchers arent useless. i had mine done with one, it was quicker and painless. this looks like shes digging around with a big needle.
but its what ever floats your boat.
