george harrison had wrote on his music sheet"bridge" you know for the bridge part song and how they would play it, and clapton read it upside down thinkin it said "badge" so they called it badge.

u prob wont believe but eric was with one of the guys from the beachboys and the song was sitting on the table and the beach boy guy missread the word bridge as badge. idk if its true but thats wat i herd

I read that Eric was sitting opposite George Harrison,,and whilst writing the song ..which they wrote together....George had written' bridge.'.(bridge part of the song).. Clapton misread it as badge.. so they called the song badge..Clapton was never in the beachboys..cheers Ian
