the reason why your dog iss haveing a seziure is because when someone cross breads with a smaller dog its bones are all thinner includeing its skull the skull gets to small for the brain to hold im 12 years old my grandmas dog han15 sezuires in the past 2 months and still does wanted to give you my knowledge on it.

I swear if that happened to any of my pets and they came to me even though they were in pain I would just bawl my eyes out. That puppy was so precious and it pisses me off how people can be so cruel to animals. Especially dogs. They never judge you. If you're rich or poor, fat or skinny, it doesn't matter to them they love you for you and will be your companion forever. I'm very sorry for your loss, I really am. For those who are first time owners this is a good thing to watch out for and know what it would be like. Some may not even think it's a big deal or what the fuck it is. Atleast we know clearly. I would like to know how much more pure bred dogs have seizures than a mutt would have. I would think from the lack of genetic diversity that these types of over bred dogs would have a host of problems that a mutt just wouldn't have.

@Trollioli it is true a mutt is less likely to have problems due to the face that the parent dogs are most likely not related and so recessive genes do not show through. That is why when you buy pure bred dogs it is ESSENTIAL to look at bloodlines. If you get a pure bred puppy from a puppy mill you may be getting a pure bred whatever, but that dog more often then not is inbred and has genetic deformities that wouldn't show through had someone done the proper research.

): u have the same breed i do, i dont know why, but its common for this breed to have seizures. when he took ours to the vet the dr said there was fluid in his brain and the brain was swollen aswell. this is internal. there MIGHT be medicine for it now but there was none when we took our puppy in. he was given a 5 month expecency but he is now healthy and about 14 or 15 years old (: he was a miracle dog.

@pickachu407 That is exactly what a dog or puppy having a seizure and then coming out of it "looks like". The uncoodinated legs and falling over as it tries to move. Dogs don't come out of a seizure and the next second they are fine. Most dogs are looking for comfort from their "2 legged mom or dad". When they com eout of it enough to even try to stand they still are weak and uncoordinated, then consider a puppy going through it, like this poor pup.

The dog probably suffered from immense head pains as well as muscle pains. And give it one night where the dog is unattended and has a seizure that cripples or kills itself banging its head around.

The saddest thing of all is how people think it's okay to talk to you like this. So much hate. Online bullying in many forms really is running rampant. @elvemagekid During a seizure there's not much you can do. Getting the dog to a vet during a seizure isn't easy , unless you live right next door to the vet, (has the seizure hasnt taken place on a weeknd or when the vet office is closed?) Not everyone has the luxury of a 24/7 vet ER clinic nearby unfortuantely. I brought my dog to the vet after his first seizure but by then he was over it. The best I can do it watch and observe, if he gets worse then we'll medicate.

there should me MORE videos of this posted. my dog had his FIRST seizure today, and the only reason I knew what was going on was because my boyfriend has epilepsy and seizures in dogs and humans look very similar. I came on to the internet to get more information and was surprised at the lack of info on here.

luckily my dogs seizures are from epilepsy, so besides a seizure here and there he will live a normal, happy life.
