  • its really interesting seeing this paired in contrast with the pixar one, how one of the designers about getting to the higher quality then focusing on creative storytelling, where as in pixar when given the choice between the two, they were like let the strings show and make the best story we can. hmm

  • Great!!!!!

  • how did you get your vid that long

  • Therough a generous in-kind donation from Google/YouTube, the Computer History Museum is able to present longer historic and educational videos.

  • @ComputerHistory ooh, that's a damn savvy response to a mundane question. Thanks so much for posting these videos. As a non-accomplished indie game developer, it is quite inspirational. Keeps me motivated. Thanks

  • sorry warehouse/museum :).

  • Often it is hard to find material on say how binary programming works or machine code learning or the A programming language. As new technology/programming is begun often old technology is discarded and information and that can be fatal to programming and technology if thier is an early error in programming or technical methodology and information is not preserved and presented to the public.

  • @Digital3DG ok i did not understand a word what u were saying there but it sound AWESOME :D

  • It would be highly usefull for the programming community not just to have all that information stored in a dusty warehouse somewhere collecting dust, but to have that information esp programming related available online for other programmers as I have often learned more looking at history related information on programming, computers and science than in an actual class, in seeing how things evolve, you can often make predictions how to improve ideas. Great vid, worth 2 hours.-cheers.

  • wtf lol at 30:57 it says tony hawk was the narrator

  • that was tony saying the video revolution was just beggining at the end of the piece before the credits for the piece. this was in 2004.

  • I second that 0RobinHood1! Jordan Mechner should of been applaud right after his trailer finished. Prince of Persia Sands of Time one of his best works ever! His original was also great if we look back what computers had for us. Thanks for the vid. I know how Jordan speaks it's how he speaks all time...he sounds nervous, but it's just how he speaks. I respect the man and hope he continue his work cos I'm owning almost all of his works!

  • i expect that asian man is confusing cause and causality with that surgean survey.
