  • Hey, I think I figured out why spreading your hand helps. I think it's because doing so flexes certain muscles in your arm and shoulder and helps keep the balance on the muscle you were referring to. Haha, sorry I'm a nerd (Bio Major) :D

  • take a break for about a week then try again try putting your arm and/or hand dwn first (the hand on the shoulder doing the freeze

  • yea, same here. I rolled back into a shoulder freeze randomly on day while I was freestyling. It's a pretty natural movement.

  • i cant do it this way, i can do a shoulder freeze, but only if i roll from a baby freeze

  • i acutally did this by accident when i was learning the baby freeze. like my right hand slipt and my left hand was still on the ground and i was on my right shoulder lol

    to put ur dominate hand flat on the floor or ur weaker one flat. i kno this move is more balance than strenght but wat do u recommend

  • i accidentally did a shoulder freeze

    from the easy baby freeze, i collapsed my stabbing arm, and i went onto my shoulder

  • your tutorials are crazyyy good.. just one question though, are you right handed or left handed? i've seen a couple of tutorials that tell me to go different ways , like balancing with my left arm and some other videos tell me to balance with my right arm.

    if i'm right handed, what should i do?

  • Glad to know you think my tutorials are good. = ) I'm right handed. The shoulder freeze doesn't have much to do with your arm strength, so knock yourself out. Do it whichever. I'm used to stabbing on my right side, it just feels natural to me, so every freeze I do, I stab on the right side, be it my hand or my shoulder. I'd say you should always stab with your stronger hand... you can hold it longer that way.

  • Btw, you do freeze on your entire shoulder, including the ball of your shoulder, but just be sure not to have that as the only part you're freezing on.

  • This freeze isn't about strength. It's about the technique and the balance. Try it, what's the worst that can happen? A bruise or 2.
