aside from this being a nerd fan boi video, this is an extremely inaccurate representation of ILLUM not EELUM WPvP. IF your on the fence about the game, please ignore this useless video as its a poor representation of a very good game.
@Rokemikal Any feedback as to why this video wasn't what you would consider accurate would be appreciated. In all honesty to say this video is inaccurate without providing any advice or feedback as to why you think that doesn't help anyone.
Other than the mispronunciation of Ilum what was wrong? It was stated before the video that the zone was under populated and was NOT intended to be an epic PvP battle video. Not to mention the mechanics to the zone were accurately explained.
Myeah, this WILL look cooler upon release. But honestly, if those walkers and reinforcements don't actually DO anything, they should just remove them. It's extremely anticlimactic to watch a couple of walkers without any AI whatsoever just standing there, firing randomly.
Even swarms of smaller mobs would outdo that a million times over imo.
@Fdzzaigl I agree...I was kind of hoping that the walkers would slowly advance up to the next objective and then once that objective was taken move on and finally get to the base where they just go all out on the walls and turrets. Even if they weren't actually doing damage at least it would look cooler and make more sense then having Republic walkers at the north check point when all the players are attacking the Republic base.
@Chadwich I'm sure it will look cooler once there are 100's of people playing. I'm sure it will be awesome and this is only the start. BioWare can always add more planets with this type of open world PvP as it's VERY similar to WAR's RvR which a large portion of the MMO community considers their favorite type of open world PvP.
@Telekenetoh For some reason the airstrike wasn't in the BETA build when this video was filmed. However, AskAJedi gives you a glimpse of an airstrike at the end of our video at: 14:05
your the first to actually show some llum footage... everyone is showing world pvp on tatooine but that place is going to get outdated once people start getting to 50 and head over to llum
@Omegadarkdrake Don't think so, there are special vendors on tatooine and the FFA pvp zone is mostly for high lvl players. We'll have to wait and see, but before we had the chance of think about it im sure they already did several months ago.
