I lived a few blocks away on Cliff St. at the time, and we were all in the lobby, waiting to be cleared to evacuate uptown. A number of people from the WTC were seeking shelter in our lobby after the first collapse, like these guys. They made us wait inside until both towers were down and the air was a bit clearer to fully evacuate... Absolutely terrifying. And we were the fortunate.

THE SOLUTION FOR ANYONE WORKING IN TALL BUILDINGS IS TO SIMPLY HAVE A PARACHUTE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY LIKE 9/11. THAT WOULD HAVE SPARED MANY POOR SOULS FROM JUMPING TO THEIR DEATHS. SAD BUT TRUE. @couragio235 You need skills and practice to operate a parachute, especially if jumping from a building. It's not pull the chord and you're saved. Plus you need height to let it open fully, only clever solution would be having a parachute open in your office, with a catapult ready to send it out at high speed so it already has momentum to plane. Otherwise, useless.

I remember I was in the first tower when the planes hit..
Smoke and debris everywhere, dust.. Couldnt see shit, couldn't breathe. I was going back inside the tower, there was nobody around me.. A little while later I found a few people crawling on the floor toward the doors to get fresh air. I ran up to them, and repeatedly stabbed them in the heart with my pen. I vowed not to let any filthy american leave that tower. Thank allah for 9/11. Praise Bin Laden, we will continue your mission!

no offence but if i was there covered in that ashes i would feel sad and kind of nasty because those ashes are like the people who died in that building. i wish this would have never happened.. i still remember that day back in pre-school.. we got out of pre school early and went home. and before i went my mom was getting me dressed and the news was on and i said mom look the airplane went into the building. it was sad. i didnt know much back then but i know how the people must have felt. @TheMisssongwriter This isn't the lobby of the WTC, it's somewhere else nearby. I lived a few blocks away on Cliff St. at the time, and we were all in the lobby, waiting to be cleared to evacuate uptown. A number of people from the WTC were seeking shelter in our lobby after the first collapse, like these guys. They made us wait inside until both towers were down and the air was a bit clearer to fully evacuate... Absolutely terrifying. And we were the fortunate.
