I was riding my Kymco People 150 and a women ran a stop sign and hit me. I broke my scapula, 6 ribs, and clavicle. Had a punchurd lung which resolved itself. I was a lucky girl. Am afraid to continue riding for this has been a rough road for me. (healing process). Thanks for sharing and be safe!

you are a legend man. ive had like 10 crashes in like the year ive been riding and they have varied from 15-50mph and i havnt been wearing anything but my leather jacket and helmet and on one occasion i wasnt even wearing my jacket and ive never broken a bone from a bike crash just walked off a bit scraped up and with a limp or summat. how long have you been riding?

My understanding is that lane-splitting is just not specifically listed as ILlegal in CA. The simple fact that it isn't illegal doesn't mean it's safe or reasonable.

I know how it feels to have your life put on hold because of surgery. I tore my labrum skiing in february and I'm going to be doing a whole lot of nothing till next year. I also play baseball and I'm a pitcher haha so no baseball this season but hopefully i'll be good for next season. Sorry you had to go through this, surgery sucks!
Lol, what do these crashes tell you about motorcycles Ben? My brother died in a motorcycle doing almost the exact same thing as you but we was going 15mph and a hummer went over his helmet in crushed his skull I advise you to sell the motorcycle and get a real car...
@VulgarityDivine Nah, I love riding too much. In life sometimes you need to take risks to have fun. If I was worrying about dying I would never ride in a car (cars are still dangerous! I had a friend who died in a car accident), I wouldn't take any marital arts, I would never leave the house. For me a certain amount of risk is what makes life interesting.
@shaykai True. But different activities carry different levels of risk. I'm kind of grappling with whether to quit riding myself, as I totaled my bike a month ago after I lost it on a corner (completely my fault).
i was riding a wheely on my cr250 do about 65 on my dirt road when i went over backwards and all i was wearing was a helmet short sleeve shirt and pants and i got a lot of rocks in my back but all i did was go soak in the tub till the dirt was out it burned so bad.

yeah that sucks man. you know my mom doesnt hardly let me get any thing that can hurt me i tell her id rather die at the age of 30 and know that i had a fun exciting thrilling life then to die at 90 and not have done a thing and yes 30 mph can fuck you up i was lucky im 14 an i rode down a hill on a pocket bike known as the ninja x2 but i was close to the grass and fell toward it when i had an orange thrown at me by a friend haha but all i got was a sprained wrist and some bruises.

Nope, no ABS for me. I mean I wouldn't mind having a VFR or something with ABS, that will probably be my next bike but that is waaaaaaay down the road. I did some investigating later and i found out that not only was my front tire bald, but it was overinflated by like 8lbs. I had switched the rear and the front PSI ratings on accident last time I filled them up which is also part of the reason why I crashed. Everything is to spec now and it stops like a dream :-)

I would be really hesitant to suggest you get a bike. As you can see, my accident was only 30-35mph and it fucked me up really bad, and I was wearing FULL leathers from head to toe. I would stick to sports cars unless you plan on just getting a bike for the track. Once I get my own car I might turn my motorcycle into a dedicated track bike, its a ton safer and you can't get speeding tickets! Just my 2 cents. thats true, its much safer to have motorcycles in the front than pinched between cars, and cars problem with it is being stuck behind bikes which makes no sense because by the time a car is at 10 miles an hour a bike is two blocks down the street

I downed my 2005 zx-636 2 week after I bought it (SQUID! LOL) in a round about gear+frame sliders Helped + only a couple VERY minor scratches on the bike when you fix it keep and eye out for lockhart phillip's no-cut frame sliders!
Well it was kind of a high side, basically the bike just fell on its side at 30mph. The bike wasn't behind me or in front of me, just to the side. That being said, I have highsided before at like 20mph and it was NOT fun.
Haha I know I should. I was actually invited to go on a TV show a few days ago and throw knives but I had to turn them down because I can't throw with my left hand. Bummer huh?
Get better. I'm not a motorcycle driver yet, but plan to be : one of the most important things I've been told is to always think "This is day I'm having and accident", so you are always ready (wearing the right clothes, the bike always in prime condition and driving safe)

Be careful with that Dilaudid only take the amount your doctor tells you to take. Too much can cause Hypoventilation (respiratory depression) meaning it slows down your breathing that can be life threatening.
That really isn't too awesome but it's good that you can still make fun of such a situation. I hope your shoulder and arm heal really fast. I've actually wanted to buy a motorcycle myself but my father won't let me because of such situations haha... I don't plan on showing him this. Best of health!

I think you can get them on ebay, that's where I got mine a few years ago. You should check out shifts 2009 line up though, they have some GREAT looking jackets. I think at the very least I might take out the armor on this jacket and just wear it off the bike, I really like the look of it.

Yes you are very right. I see people speeding down the road in just jeans and a jacket and a helmet. I just wonder how badly they are going to get messed up if they get into an accident. It's good your smart unlike others. Oh and i watched your video on your motorcycle equipment and i was thinking about how you showed what would happen if you just wore jeans and they got rocked. It's good you take your own advice haha

dude that sucks im sorry. dont throw away that jacket though its really cool ha. i have been planning to buy a motorcycle for a while now but cant come up with the money. thats the jacket i want too :) do you know if they still sell them? well man good luck with your arm.

I think you can get them on ebay, that's where I got mine a few years ago. You should check out shifts 2009 line up though, they have some GREAT looking jackets. I think at the very least I might take out the armor on this jacket and just wear it off the bike, I really like the look of it.
