  • @vpmoore we just live on it.

  • @vpmoore "GOD" does not own the land, the land belongs to mother earth and no one else.

  • what?? I can't hear you...??

  • i remember hearing this on KTNN during the winter time at my grandmas!

  • your not suppose to listen to them like this in the spring and summer and fall month just in winter you FOOL! take is down or it will bring bad luck to you because DIYIN sees all and knows all

  • i wish i could speak navajo fluently. i can understand the majority of it but not particularly well.

  • there are millions of web pages besides YOUTube. You can ask anything and it will point you 2 the information you need. Google YEI BI Chai, don't argue. NamMyohoRengeKyo

  • the "YEI BI CHEII" :D

  • Proud to be a REDSKIN I can still speak my Native American language

Did you know it helped win WORLD WAR TWO NAVAJO MARINE CODE TALKERS....

    WARRIOR PRIDE...

  • im so embarrassed that these so called navajos think this is not a song....shame on u for not knowing your history. this sing is old, very old, i came across this recording a few yrs ago on itunes no less...out of respect for the culture and the sacredness of the song this should not be on here.

  • @tiadawn100

this is a old style winter ceremonial song, songs like these are not sung anymor. this recording ws made in the 40's or 50's...maybe earlier. today things are different and songs are different.

  • I firmly believe the land is for us to live and protect. Name one thing any of the tribal nations did that out cast the way "America" is today.

I see our nation returning to the proper owner. It is just a matter of time. Who owns the land? God. I see the Indian Nation rising in power, not as the Europeans, but through wisdom and patience.

I am a European woman. I have great respect for all nations that pursue what is right.

  • fuck i just asked why is it sacred. no one shit a brick now. wouldnt you want to spread knowledge about your beliefs so others can acknowledge you guys and your religion. But NO! you just say "it just is" or some shit and stay in your club. Shit no wonder when colonists came to america we killed all you fuckers.

  • HAVE YOU NOT HEARD !! ? You have greatly offended, ~ Those, to whom this chant is sacred. To continue to ignore the wishes of the Dine, to tread upon native culture and feelings with such obvious blatent disregard for these people is not only the height of bad manners, but , further, ~ Will re-bound, impact upon your own life in whatsoever ~ YOU hold as dear and sacred. Unversal law : What you give out, you get back. Learn the hard way !

  • Am glad i stumbled across this video...luv the singing...I just heard the first yei dance is being performed this month. So, wish I could attend. Missing navajoland. To all those in Navajoland...wishing a good winter!

  • m navajo and i know those chants they do not sound like ahhhhhhhh ohhhh yoooo trthat sounds ike the sterio tipe

  • can someone please explain to me why this can't be posted?, it allows people to understand other cultures, it's given me a understanding of the native american peoples

  • @Christopher9867 In Navajo culture, a lot of things are tied to seasons. This is a winter chant and nobody is supposed to sing it or listen to it during other seasons. Stories about some animals can only be told during the right season. You can't tell stories about the fox except in wintertime. Having something at the wrong time of year is a type of blasphemy. If this is kept, it should be renamed to Navajo winter chant or something so that people know not to click on it.

  • why is this video on here?? very disrespectful!

  • This video needs to be removed it is

spring and summer there is no need to have

this video posted anymore. I hope the poster of this video will do the right thing and have it removed for the spring and summer months.

It is beginning to offend many of our traditional observers.

  • the video shouldn't be on here in the first place. very disrespectful.

  • It is time to remove this video, because it is offending some of our more traditional believers and second we are about to enter the summer time of the year. Removing it would be wise and will show respect to our ancient beliefs and the Holy People.

  • would be the right time now to remove this clip because of the seasonal change. But it is a good song. never heard this song. :)

  • lookie i don't know who you are and what you are doing putting up some thing about my religion, my people without permisson and respect. i practice this certain type of ceramony, and a united states marine and were bringing the fight to bitchies like you. get it off, have or we are going to have problems.

  • remove the sacred songs

  • You may think they are "cool", The Navajo consider these SACRED. Have respect for them, and remove this video. Just because it is cool doesn't make it right. Have repect for other cultures. How would you fell if someone posted a video showing a sacred rite from your country. Something that outsiders are not allowed to see or hear.

  • REMOVE!!!! These songs that are sung are sacred to the Navajo People. REMOVE IT!!!

  • I think it should not be removed; there is no need for removing these songs. I think they're cool XD

I am sharing this vid with my friends and they're enjoying it =] Might download it too but ya know xD

  • Doesn't anyone not know what SACRED is. They need to remove it. These songs are suppose to be heard ONLY in certain season. WHOEVER POST THIS NEEDS TO REMOVE IT !!!!!!!

  • so why are u lookin for these vids then if they shouldnt even be posted?

  • I WASN"T looking for it, I just happen to find it. Just because I made a comment doesn't mean everyone should understand what I believe in. YOU must not be a Native American, DON"T bother commenting back, I don't waste my time on mindless comments. This is my first and last comment to you!!!!!!!

  • good 4 u, ur gods dont exist anyway

  • you're right, because gods don't even exist in Navajo belief, ndiigyis...

  • Yeah these songs are SACRED! SHOULDNT BE PUTTING THEM UP.!

  • so why are u lookin for these vids then if they shouldnt even be posted?

  • Wasnt looking for them. Site was on a link from a persons webpage. There could be hundreds of reasons of how people could get to this site idiot. It doesnt mean everyone who posted here went searching for it from the beginning.

  • umm dont think your suppost to be putting these songs up.....fyi.

    these are sacred songs.
