Well no fooling. Cut the attitude, buddy. Pot is effectively traded on what amounts to a commodity exchange. There is no way a small scale grower can compete with a large scale grower. That's life. I don't keep track of prices closely but last I heard $2K per pound was about going wholesale rate, and the trend is downward. Yes, it's a business. Evil? Hardly.

@OldJoeCurwen Medican made a good point though. It is a business, and these dispensaries need to buy low and sell high. If they could get grass from an illegal source cheaper than from a licensed medical grower, they will. If I had to choose between your take on how bad it is or medicans, I would lean more toward evil than not. If the money is going to fund other horrible and illegal activity, that is evil and bad. That is a major selling point of medical marijuana.
