I believe Welfare, foodstamps and Tanif are good programs, if they are used for a short period of time. I'm a republican, but i still believe in helping people. it's the people that get in the rut of staying on goverment assistence that are the problem. if somone hits a hard time and needs food stamps and a pell grant, then they go to school, graduate and get a good job and pay taxes, i think it evens out. The goverment needs to focus on education first, so less people need help.
