@nerdgroup56 I think cresties are a little easier, they don't require special lighting, I think leos do. If your house is warm enough, they don't require heat. They can live very well on crested gecko diet alone, I'm pretty sure leos need live food (crix, mealworms, etc.) Google care sheets for both. You'll find which is right for you.

Yes you should. These lizards are amazing pets. There easy to take care of,there very docile and friendly and easy to breed! Trust me if you get crested geckos you will be very satisfied. I got mine not to long ago and I just hatched my first hatchlings and I think there one of the best out of all the reptiles I have!

@TheCodKiosk It feels much like velvet or microfiber or at least that's what their feet feel like on your hand,it's really surprizing. Get one! you'll never regret it, they are the most entertaining geckos ever and their aboreal which is great cause i find that it's hard to find a good long and not tall terrerium like you would use for leopard geckos but its easy to find tons of great aboreal style taller tanks.

I have crested that is about 3 years old, and she has layed several unfertilized eggs. She is not that active at all. She eats her food reguraly, and when I first got her she used to shed all the time. Now I haven't seen her shed in a while. Like I haven't seen her shed in like a year, but I found some dead skin lying around.

Any ideas on whats happening?

hey, im not for sure, but it might be because it is shedding at night and eating it right after. I had an leopard gecko and it was eating it as it was shedding. Don't worry though. It's good for your pet because it has nutrients. She might not be active because laying eggs is not the easiest task.

1. Try and incubate the eggs. A close relative, the New Caldonian Giant Gecko can reproduce through parthenogenesis.

2. If she's full grown she won't need to shed as much, And cresties do eat old shed to recycle nutrients.
