I see this and I look at the most recent debt ceiling debate and I say heck, what happened not to the president and some republicans but what happened to the American people? I know government spending is not the only answer to our problems, but i dont understand how any person with a grain of sense thinks you can grow anything without a monitary investment. It is not the fault of average people if their jobs do go overseas though. I've never belonged to a labor union but I know that when they began, they were the only advocates working men had. I know government spending is not the only answer to our problems, but i dont understand how any person with a grain of sense thinks you can grow anything without a monitary investment. For the most part..it seems the right's plan is to stop spending on entitlement program's which are put in place for people who dont have much to begin with, but not take from the top 1% who have seen their wealth grow greatly over the last 30 years while the middle class has seen a drop over that same period.

In these trade agreements, countries that impose MORE taxes than we do set up 'tax-free' zones for said corporations to operate in exchange for US Govt. money. Americans go along with this because it lowers the price of goods, neverminding that it sends jobs overseas. I'm glad to see you're waking up, but are apparently still a little bleary eyed.

For those of you who claim that U.S. policies drive you to take your companies overseas, I have to remind you of the various bailouts that have happened over the years and specifically the recent ones. Not one but two (2) presidents gave large corporations (who had mismanaged their own money) bailouts of 750 billion each. Bush asked for the first 750 billion before tap-dancing out the door, leaving lots of work undone.

It is not the fault of average people if their jobs do go overseas though. I've never belonged to a labor union but I know that when they began, they were the only advocates working men had. The debt when George W. Bush took office was $5.727 Trillion when he left it was $10.627. The debt/GDP increased by 27.1% in eight years of office (It was 83.4% when he left office)

Had he failed to do this the recession and rate of unemployment would have climbed still further, and as these workers pay taxes, we would ahve lost additional, critical revenues. And t is dead clear that the phony crisis created by the Tea Baggers precipitated the fall in the DOW.
