I have a Manx cat named Bailey and love him to death. I've had cats ever since I was a baby (I'm 21 now) and I would have to say he has been the best cat we've had so far. He was super easy to litter box train; he only used the bathroom in the floor twice. And he is super lovable. He loves to be petted and to cuddle up and sleep with people. And he loves heights. We normally find him on top of our fridge.
I have a Manx kitten but their tail is long... the daddy of the kitten is Manx and the mommy is a long tailed cat(not sure what breed) only the tail is different... the rest of the body is Manx...
these are great cats, ive had four in the past three years since i found a litter of three in my grandmas backyard and i will never regret keeping them because they turned out to be some of the best pets i own, im a dog person and gnerally dont like having cats but they get along so well with my chihuahua and pittbull and are veary clean since they like to get into the showere with me , my sisters and my mom all the time, if you want one, get one
That are also know as the 'Catdog' of the cat world. They follow you around and are very interested in what you do and sometimes love to be involve with your daily work. I know this since I own one and can not leave the room with out my manx following me. Even at bedtime when I read to my daughter he lays down inbetween us and falls asleep. They are definitely a family cat!
@DaughterOfTexas1 thats too cool, i thought i had the only cat in the world taht would foolow me, i used to take my dogs for a walk and she would follow me the whole three miles every time, she is veary sweet and is one of my best freinds
@onlypresto I always have a egyptain mau that does that. Before my husband was deploy she would follow me every night. And even on my jogs. But now she likes to hang out with my neighbors cat. Also to add more on my manx, Samurai, he completely flips out if me or my daughter is outside and he's not. Also, taking a bath is pretty hard since he seems to be interested in water, especially if it's running water. And he doesn't even mind getting wet.
@DaughterOfTexas1 yea, bathsand dishes are always inturpted hear too, i have three and they all love water, and my cats hang out with everyone too, i reecently moved and i put her outside for the first time and when she couldnt get in she went to the neighbors house and meowed to get in there, lol, shes a swweet heart, i also have her brother and her son too, there all veary freindly
Manx's are the best! Mine does that affectionate headbutting thing, my neighbour calls it 'nudging'. He's an amazing mouser/rat/pigeon, but unfortnately squirrel catcher.
Wish they described the personality more....I had a black Manx named Frasier. He was the sweetest cat I've ever had and I've had many cats. He was a rescue and I could tell he was grateful to be rescued. He never ceased to "headbutt" anyone and was never angry at anything. I miss you Frasier! Love you baby <3333
Had one, lived for 17 healthy years and then was poisoned by the tainted Iams food (too old to fight it off). anyway, great cat! Great jumper too! He once took a bat off of the ceiling when he jumped from the banister. He was also still catching mice at 16 years old!
He was one that had a long tail that did not taper at the end, it was like a long stump.
I highly recommend this breed, and will happily get one again.
my Manx was a runt who figured out how to "free" his siblings and was a supreme escape artist, even now at 5 he tries to open doors by jumping and hanging on the door knob and trying to turn it.
i love my manx bubba! Grey manx with rabbit feet, hes a Cabbit!

We have one named Gizmo aka Monster! She wrestles with our dogs and knows basic commands. When I get my own place, I'm definitely getting a Manx!

Manx cats have no tail because Joey Dunlop cut them all off with the front wheel of his Honda RVF 850. (Google Joey Dunlop)

It wasn't Noah's fault because Noah didn't shut the door, GOD did. That's kinda funny though.

whats the difference between a manx and a bobtail? cause i dont see one....
Maximo20009 10 months ago
@Maximo20009 the bobtail has a tail.
but its very small and odd looking.
CAMECAZI232 10 months ago
@CAMECAZI232 but so do same manx...
Maximo20009 10 months ago
@Maximo20009 its about where they originated for example the bobtail originated somewhere in the US while the manx on the isle of man
scottishwar4 9 months ago
@Maximo20009 The difference is body type. Manx are rounder in body, have shorter legs, rounder faces.
