Welbeck is a terrific striker. He's got pace off and on the ball, great technique, and good instinct with the chance of scoring. What a debut goal for him as well. I reckon he has a lot more potential than Federico Macheda, but we'll see. Those arguing about Chicharito, they're two different kinds of strikers, and I think Chicharito is still above Danny. Close though.

Nah. Hernandez is a fantastic off the ball, getting into spaces behind the defenders. Welbeck doesn't play those balls, I reckon Welback and Hernandez are the same in terms of they need Rooney to play deep and them as the highest striker so they can be fed those balls. Weback and certainly Hernandez do not have the strength, composure to hold the ball up like Wayne Rooney.

His passing and physicality are much better. The thing Chicharito has on him though is that his movement is much better, and it can drag defenders deeper and out of position to open up space for everyone else.

Jones has been epic at cb so far and smalling has been re-invented at right back and is just as good! It means rafael and fabio might not get as many games as they like too with him playing right back and evra left back but again its a nice problem to have :)
