BHN was the 2nd Oasis album I bought and loved it from the get go. Even today I still think it's great and one of their best. I think the backlash came for 2 reasons: 1 they were overexposed and some were dying to cut them down to size & 2 it didn't live up to the hype the album created before its release. After DM & WTSMG everyone expected a masterpiece & I think Noel was aware of this & tried to write an Epic album with longer big sounding songs.

The only mistake on Be Here Now is Liam's not as good voice as in 1994 or 1995 but in my opinion is Be Here Now one of the best albums ever and Liam sounds amazing in all songs that he sings

Everyone expected it to be up up up for Oasis and no album in the world could have followed up Morning Glory. I think Be here now is a better album myself but in public opinion, Morning Glory was the top of the hill for oasis.

From 5:30 on it is the best guitar groove but it is sort of ruined on the Be Here Now because the singing repeats its Getting Better man a nauseating amount. But The live versions and this song in general is awesome.

they actually didnt play my big mouth at all in the be here now tour, except a few gigs when liam was off and noel was singing. thats when they also played the girl in the dirty shirt that liam never did live.

Completely agree, but they could easily squeeze in Stand By Me, My Big Mouth or D'You Know What I Mean into the setlist. If they can accommodate Champagne Supernova AND I Am The Walrus then surely D'You Know What I Mean could be slotted in and replace Lyla.

if only the songs were a little stripped down and some of them arranged differently. then Be Here Now wouldn't be the disappointment that everyone makes it. the songs here are musically just as inspired as definitely maybe and whats the story. if i were noel i'd make a better arrangement of each of the songs and put them on the setlist today.

yeah, personally i love the songs on Be Here Now it's just that the outros on a couple of them (the main one being It's Getting Better Man) are long to say the least. I don't understand all the bad reviews, it's an amazing album even so!

This is a way better version of Its' Getting Better (Man) than the version on the albulm. In this concert the repeated line "Its Getting Better Man" is broken up with a music solo at the end.
