actually you can use wooden taps for clogging..and these are also called "cheater taps". they are not bad, but they cover up for a lot of bad dancing..

this is basically soft-shoe tapping because they don't have heels. Clogging or tapping really only works with a heel

The ones that jingle are called staccato taps - NOT buck taps.

@klr7272 Buck taps are "jingle taps" that go over the toe so that when the dancer is bucking their steps you have hear the toes!
