This is a superb band. Seriously, Marcy Playground is one of the most under-rated bands of the 1990s. They should have all sorts of prizes, but unfortunately they're only remembered for Sex and Candy. Hey, thanks for the post!

I was actually listed as the exec producer of this album.. I was a friend of his mom' s and helped him buy a lot of recording gear in the late 80's... I AM pretty sure he recorded this album on a Tascam 688, which is pretty amazing given the sound quality. We lost touch some years before he actually released this album. I still play it from time to time and still love it... Actually used "hear my train a comin" on one of my falling compilation videos

Marcy Playground was never known as Zog Bogbean; this was John Wozniak's solo project from back in the mid 90s, but MP was named after this album. Their self-titled album came out in '97, "Shapeshifter" in '99, "MP3" in '04, and "Leaving Wonderland...In a Fit of Rage" on July 7, 2009. "Leaving Wonderland" was originally supposed to be John Wozniak's 2nd solo album, but was released as MP's 4th Album. A "Rarities and B-Sides" album is in the works, and MP is currently touring.

Theres plenty of live tunes here on youtube of shows they've been doing for the past few months. They are touring now, spread the MP love!!!! Most underrated band out there today

I recommend you see them if you get a chance. They are a band meant to play live, sound great and great with a crowd. I'm going to see them 3 times in the next couple months.

Hey dude the bassist is my cousin. I saw them live in minnesota last year and they went touring around the country too. they have a new album called leaving wonderland.... in a fit of rage. and its not as good as shapeshifter or Marcy playground but i digg it.
