I am not fighting, but it i believe your pastor has misterperted the way of baptism. When Peter said "we need to be baptized in jesus name, surley he said that. But what the lord jesus to his deciples was to in MATTHEW 28:19 NKJ

19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, im saying anything to offend. May god bless you all

when one is baptised do they rise up out of the water uncontrolably, does the the

spirit of god rise them up out of the water or is the ministers lifting them yp out of the water

@1986Lonelyguy , The minister usally lifts them out, but sometimes the Spirit of the Lord falls on them and the Spirit lifts them up shouting in the Holy Ghost ,I've actually seen people fall out in the Spirit and they have to be carried out of the water and laid on the bank of the river,,, it truly is a great experiance when your baptized in Jesus name.

Acts 2:38, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:41, Acts 8:12-13,16-17,36,38 , Acts 9:17-18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:4-6, Acts 22:16. Never one time did you ever see titles used in lieu of baptism. It was ALWAYS in the name of JESUS Christ, Lord JESUS, who is God!

I seem to never have the words for what is stirred within me when I see someone take on the mighty and powerful name of Jesus and spiritual rebirth when they take that plunge . Although , it does greatly remind me of the day that I literally dug with my own hands , my own watery grave to bury my sins in his name , that I might be resurrected in his name ..... JESUS

I wished I had the peace that I had that day, right now, Like a clean slat a feeling that can't be put into words, if you've never been baptised u need 2 be, after u get saved, it's a great feeling!! so what do u say??? c'mon over to the winning side, wont u before it's too late, time is winding up and u never know when ur last breath u will take in, u might say i'll wait till 2morr. i'll live it up 2day, well my friend 2morr. never comes!! honestly it doesn't, think about it........won't ya????

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life." So many people today are not in the truth that is Jesus Christ. You are right, brother, the commission was just in the titles BUT the man with the keys to the kingdom of heaven, PETER, said to be baptized in Jesus name. And since Jesus has no respect a person, if he required it for one, he requires it for all. Like he said, I am not here to fight. The Apostolic way is the right way. Bless everyone.
