What key are you in brotha? Massive funk -are you ina blues scale? which one - if anyone on here knows let me know - i usually can figure it out, but this guy is fierce!
I've been researching this like crazy - heard the Xk1, which sounds over processed, (Susuki) come on. Rolond Vk-7 good - but not as smooth and groovy - ands down and I just spent the money - the Korg Cx-3 is the best digital leslie simulation - and TWO sets of draw bars! Oh, and hte Nord is over-rated again TOO digital sounding and sound just like a good synth - this really emulates the b3/leslie and all aound organ sounds-case closed! Nord people tend to be cock suckers as well
if anyone have any doubts about the Cx-3 don't this is my third I have had them all Nord/ Roland V/ Native Instrument and each time I return to the Korg. Now if have to tweek to your own taste and style, factory stuff is based on Joey D, I like Jimmy, Chralie and Groove setting, which you have to tweek. The amp is important too. 15' with horns with good RMS rating 200 watts or better.
The test results are in...you have dangerously high levels of ELITENESS. Funk test confirmed hahaha...what do you think about the Roalnd VK88 and Oberheim OB3? The CX3 sounds great but I can't afford one right now...Thank you!
I really love those pinching and mean licks and growling chords that you are cranking out with so much gusto. The last days I have been trying VERY hard to play along with this track slowing it down in Ableton etc. I am very sorry that the cam position is very bad as I really can't see your hands moving.
You would REALLY do me a favor if you could tape this again with a better camera position perhaps getting closing on some of those fantastic riffs. Please lemme know if you're want to do that.
Passed. You made this board sing and dance.

I've probably watched this video 20x. I love it! Such good phrasing, and I love the gospel chord changes toward the end.

can you bypass the leslie simulator so you can use it with a leslie preamp and cab?
bluzluvr2 3 years ago
They don't have they 11-pin out that's used with most leslies, but you can use a motion sound leslie with them. They sound pretty good together.

Question: what is your opinion about Nord Stage B3 sounds? I'm deciding among it and Korg CX3.
salalbr 3 years ago
BTW, you tuned the CX3 up one semitone, right?

Great playing...really demonstrates that 'an old clonewheel' is just a well capable of producing an killer sound when played well.

Hard to believe this doesn't have a single comment. That was an awesome demo. Good sounding clonewheel, great player.
