Hey ya!I Bought exact copy of your little friend few days ago.The Birds shop told us it's a male,3.5month old.But it seems like he is older..the tail is quite long, but he doesn't have a ring around his neck yet.Actually,he is running away,and trying to escape from his cage..

As i live in greece I could let him go.The weather is great here for these birds.What would you suggest me to do the best?I'm afraid he will not become so friendly and talking like urs..

Ringnecks can be wonderful pets, however you will need to spend at least 30 mins day to get them to learn commands and to be friendly ect...best to start out with a hand reared baby, and not a untamed adult bird as a beginner; although it can be done with a tonne of patience!

@fledgesflight im buying a indian ringneck in 3 days or so and thank you so much for the advice im getting a 2 and a half month old one and i will spend 1 hour with it if i can :D and also can a indian ringneck become friends with other types of parrots such as, Kakarikis because if they can i would like to buy one with it but im just afraid that they wont talk when theres two of them because theyd be like a couple?????

@x2bubbleman55 Ive heard they tend to talk less human words when u have 2 of them. I would recommend only buying the ringneck, then they'll really fall in love with you :)

Keep in mind when i bought mine i had trouble with it for the first month (biting, unhappiness etc) but after it adjusted it just fell in love with us. Now it wont dare bite us and it cant stand being away from us anytime of the day. They are really loving pets :)

@TheMaziyar Umm, i cant watch TV or go out of my room anymore or if im not paying attention to him he will make noises because he needs attention LOL!, he is only 2 months old i think he is getting better by the day he just got taught how to sit on my hand but bites me a lot! i mean a lot!, if i get him to sit on my hand and i try to just lightly scratch him or pat him on the head he would make a growl noise and bite me :) but i think as you said he will get better :DThankyouz!!!!

He's a boy; he was tested at a few months old with a blood test, and confirmed with the development of a black and white ring a few months ago. :)
