How is the actual selling going? I'm selling my collection and discovering if the over street guide says its worth $100, the eBay price is about $8.00. Have you had any luck selling??
@swihartstudios Well, I'm only going to sell them all at once, so... no selling at all yet. There will be but on buyer, for EVERYTHING, if I have my druthers.
@swihartstudios I collected from early 80's till '93, prices were pretty stable/high back then, especially late 80's/early 90's. However...I think the market/prices tanked back when Marvel filed for Bankruptcy as well as Ebay/Internet becoming prominent. Back when I was a kid if you were looking for a particular comic you'd have to go to a store for the most part, if you didn't have one around you were screwed, now you can just go on Ebay, all that supply has driven down prices.
@briank383 I remember when the only way to get old comics was thru retailers or conventions too. I don't really know what to expect. I just know that selling it all at once is the only realistic way for me to unload everything, so that is what I am doing. The cataloging is weirdly sort of fun. Each box is like a trip down memory lane.
@BradyDale Yeah definitely. I just bought about 500 comics this past weekend, wasn't looking to buy that many but couldn't pass up the deal. A comic store is going out of business and is/was selling stuff at a very steep discount, hard to pass up a mint Uncanny X-men #117 for six bucks.
