lol, very true, i was on one (lufthansa flight 436) and when they power up you acn barely feel you are starting to move, unlike the A330-300 (lufthansa flight 433) that i had also taken
its weird how do you alwayse no when like example JAL is coming to montreal or lufthansa with an A340 is there a website to know when they come in or what !??
Glad you like my videos. My favorite airline wuld be Aer Lingus. They do not serve YUL but an Aer Lingus A330 did divert to YUL in 2008 due to an engine problem. I don't have a video of it but I did take some pictures
cool i also like Aer Lingus, they have a beautiful livery. Would love to fly with them never have, since i have good relations with the Irish. Any airline that has green i like just like Saudia in the 1980's with the palm tree and green tail.
A note to the photographer: you will have better results if you do not fuss with the zoom lens when tracking the aircraft - what makes the image impressive is the size of the aircraft - but in relation to what ? in relation to the landscape around it - which, if changing and shifting, is dissipated.
Can i ask a question? How is it possible in this post 9/11 world with high security measures to intercept air traffic control communications? im not trying to bother you, it's just weird to me that's all, wasn't their any airport security guarding the perimeter?
To answer your question, yes there is security watching the inside of the airport's perimeter fence. However, this video was taken from a public area outside of the airport's perimeter. There is nothing illegal about that. Having said that, the airport authorities at YUL are very tolerant of us airplane spotters. We have met with them and they know that we are there because we love aviation and that we would never do anything to disrupt or harm it.
This always happens in Quebec. Though the official language for ATC is still English, French is permitted to be spoken. Air Canada, Air France and local pilots usually communicate in French.

Ive been in many Lufthansa flights. They are not the best planes for long distance traveling! I prefer Air France!

a343 engines are small.. i was in the plane too to venezuela.. the a346 has bigger engines :) good video btw 5/5

Pretty heavy, and the 343 is underpowered, and very much so. Some have said that it only climbs because of the curvature of the Earth.

the 340-600 has RR Trents like the 777. The 340-300 had CFM

This video is from last year when Lufthansa operated the A340-300 to YUL. This year they have downgraded to a A330-300.
YULspotter 3 years ago
hey , u can't say they have downgraded!!!
A330-300 is the same size as the A340-300 but has only 2 engines
got it ????
alaqmar1992 3 years ago
When I mentionned downgrade, I was referring to the number of seats.
Typical seating in LH's A330-300 is 8 lie flat, 48 business class + 165 economy seats. Total 221.
Typical seating in LH's A340-300 is 44 lir flat seats + 222 economy seats. Total 266.

LH flies for about six months per year, YUL-MUC.
It code shares with AC the two daily flights YUL-FRA, but AC operates both flights.
