It's not any better on the ps3/360 or pc either. Sure graphics look better but they look like crap for hd games. Overall Spiderman 3 was one of my biggest disappointments ever. Web of shadows wasn't that better either but it wasn't as broken.

When you think about it it's quite logical. Treyarch (the developer) had to make 2different versions of this game for 6 different consoles. The main version was the PS3 and xbox 360 versions. Whereas, they also had to make a PS2 version as well as a Wii version and a GBA and Nintendo DS version. With Spider-man 2 it was just PS2, Xbox and GC. With the GBA version. It would have been impossible to make all those games as good as Spider-man 2.

What happened was that treyarch made the game on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC while the PS2 and Wii versions were made by a different company but they both were involved with activision
