When i first saw this ending to the video i was drunk....so i wondered if i'd dreamt it or soemthing. But then i saw it again while iw as watching mtv2 with my girlfriend. It was a real surprise....why the alternate ending? is it supposed to be banned or something? And why don't they show this ending?

Its someone with a camera watching the television... without going into specifics on how cameras record video feed, and the difference between the frame rate, it wouldn't be a whole lot better even if the camera was framed up with the TV... Its not an 'official' or finished version of the video, give em a break...

I KNEW IT! He had a definite look of pain on his face in the American version. I figured they were probably alluding to him getting injured, but couldn't show it, because of how tough MTV's censors are on stuff like that in videos.

Actually, what's censored in the US version but shown in Europe is not the singer dying, but that while in the US version he just watches the world burning, in the European version he does something about that by joining the rebellion.
