Boys in the early 60s really got themselves extended watching Funicello movies. The boys´ moms had a hard time figuring out why the bath towels got starched for weeks after the boys went to watch Annette movies. ¿Some slow chemical effect in the softener powder when rinsing? The mothers asked to themselves confused. In fact, it was all the other way around, it was a quickie biological burst by hardened tissue while rubbing.
They should have put that dorkie-looking Frankie Avalon in a "snappy corvair" or something. That "T"-rod was much too cool for him, he looked like he didn't even know how to charge a tire! Annette was too hot and way out of his league also.
