Reading some of the comments here got me thinking what I used to believe about God most of my life, and in all honesty like many ppl I thought that hell means u burn for ever and ever and ever. And from that thought alone I used to think this really isnt a God Id even want to worship, it just never made scene to me how u could have a mother in heaven living for ever and watching her children burn for ever, all that dose is confuse ppl and did me. I think the question really is will any "lost" repent or change their mind after probation closes?

Christ came 1st as a babe, then will come secondly as King of Kings with his angles and much commotion quite visible to everyone (Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-54, etc.). There is however a 3rd coming. Christ will take his saints to heaven for 1000 years then return to a new earth (Rev. 21) where we will live forever. Amen

Sorry, what is this question? I could ask the same question to you. Do you keep God's 10 Commandments perfectly and never sin? None of us do. Nobody is perfect, not one person on this earth. We just believe that their is a truth that we have unraveled that is biblical, and that God wants us to follow it. @metoc6842 We are under the New Covenant and we are to keep the Commandment that Jesus taught us. This is the Messanic Law not the Mosaic Law. This guy really blunders on the Covenant. The bible says there is no new covenant without the shedding of blood. Hebrews ch 9v15, He (Christ) is the mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant. Batchelor is clever, If he admits the old covenant was purged by blood, out goes his worship of the Sabbath.
If the old covenant is the same as the new covenant then "the words", the ten commandments, and the "book of the old covenant" would be imprinted on our heart, and everything, not just the ten commandments would still be in effect for us today.
But there are many things in the old covenant that I do not see Adventists participating in.

Myhope, That which was a shadow of things to come, were fulfilled when Jesus came. The handwritten ordinances that were against us, as Paul writes were nailed to the cross. This includes the feasts that are all a type of Jesus, the only feast that is left is the feast of tabernacles ( I think it's called) That is fulfilled once Jesus returns the Second Time and gathers His elect into Heaven. =)
I would recommend doing a biblical search and seeing if you can find out what exactly was contained in the law of Moses, which is referred to also as the law of God. Because the law of Moses is called the book of the law of God. Study the term "the law" in the new testament, especially the usage of it within the gospels.

Well firstly you cannot nail stone to anything. Man cannot change God's law written in stone.
In Colossians 2:14 where it says, "Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us" this is the writing of Moses, the requirements. It does not say "wiping out the Commandments that was against us"
The law written by Moses on paper is not the same law as God's law written on stone.
If the ministration of death still stands, so does the book, for the book is the book of the covenant which is the ten commandments. The book is the law of God explained.

No challenge. I think I made myself very clear. I'm pretty sure Mr Doug Batchelor slipped up when he said that the old and new covenant were written in stone, when, to my knowledge only the Ten Commandments were written in stone with the finger of God. The old covenant was written on parchment paper and placed in the side of the ark. Very simple isn't it? I thought it'd be a good idea for Mr. Batchelor to clarify his statement, and if I am wrong he may show me from God's words.

I've read in the Bible that the old covenant written by Moses was on parchment and placed in the side of the ark, while the new covenant was written in stone by God's own hand & placed inside the ark. I do agree that in the end there will be a universal religion, and then there will be those who follow Christ which those of the universal religion will despise.
But being a follower of Christ is not stuck within any specific denomination, but through faith in the Son of God and what he did for us. Jesus never told us that we must keep the Sabbath. You are still under the curse,as I once was, so afraid that I would be cursed for not keeping the Sabbath. Jesus only responded to the Pharisees about the Sabbath while the Law was still in effect. I am so free now, relying on God to help me love Him and my neighbor and now I truly know Christ as I never did before.

Christ came 1st as a babe, then will come secondly as King of Kings with his angles and much commotion quite visible to everyone (Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-54, etc.). There is however a 3rd coming. Christ will take his saints to heaven for 1000 years then return to a new earth (Rev. 21) where we will live forever. Amen

That's two different resurrections being noted here by John. Plus, the Bible states these two are separated by 1000 years of time rather bluntly.

I was a SDA for 12 years, and they are definitely a CULT! Since I resigned my SDA membership, certain Adventists have called me evil, satan follower, lost and a deceiver. The SDA teach that only they are the selected and special "remnant church" and everyone else is deceived and will be lost when they receive the Mark of the Beast. SDA is a CULT! We just believe that their is a truth that we have unraveled that is biblical, and that God wants us to follow it. Doug Batchelor said NO, it's NOT finished yet and one day in the future Jesus will say it is finished when his completed his work in the Sanctuary. Hebrews ch 9v15, He (Christ) is the mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant. If the old covenant is the same as the new covenant then "the words", the ten commandments, and the "book of the old covenant" would be imprinted on our heart, and everything, not just the ten commandments would still be in effect for us today.
But there are many things in the old covenant that I do not see Adventists participating in.

Myhope, That which was a shadow of things to come, were fulfilled when Jesus came. The handwritten ordinances that were against us, as Paul writes were nailed to the cross. This includes the feasts that are all a type of Jesus, the only feast that is left is the feast of tabernacles ( I think it's called) That is fulfilled once Jesus returns the Second Time and gathers His elect into Heaven. =)

I would recommend doing a biblical search and seeing if you can find out what exactly was contained in the law of Moses, which is referred to also as the law of God. Because the law of Moses is called the book of the law of God. Study the term "the law" in the new testament, especially the usage of it within the gospels.

Well firstly you cannot nail stone to anything. Man cannot change God's law written in stone.
In Colossians 2:14 where it says, "Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us" this is the writing of Moses, the requirements. It does not say "wiping out the Commandments that was against us"
The law written by Moses on paper is not the same law as God's law written on stone.

The reason I ask these questions is because it is imperative that one understands what the book of the law is so that they know exactly how one should understand the term "the law" in the new testament.
Unlocking what the book of the law contains, unlocks a deeper understanding of scripture. Don't just accept a separation of law without knowing what those laws are.

I'm pretty sure Mr Doug Batchelor slipped up when he said that the old and new covenant were written in stone, when, to my knowledge only the Ten Commandments were written in stone with the finger of God. The old covenant was written on parchment paper and placed in the side of the ark. Very simple isn't it? I thought it'd be a good idea for Mr. Batchelor to clarify his statement, and if I am wrong he may show me from God's words.

I do agree that in the end there will be a universal religion, and then there will be those who follow Christ which those of the universal religion will despise.
But being a follower of Christ is not stuck within any specific denomination, but through faith in the Son of God and what he did for us. It's not stuck in sda, or baptist, or pentacostal, or any other denomination out there. It's not stuck within the confines of a building, but in the heart of every believer.

@Myhopeisinhim no being a follwer of christ is not stuck with just 1 religion as god has his people in all denominations but it is gods remnant church

I believe his church is not stuck within the walls of any church. It's the people who are followers of Christ that make up the church, not any specific church walls.
It's each person that makes up his body, regardless of where they are. I understand you may believe them to be the remnant church, I'm afraid I don't agree. No offense meant.

I don't believe the sda are the remannt church, nor do I believe catholics or any other church denom are the remnant church. His body is not confined within the walls of any group, but rather within the heart of each believer.
