Motovlogging for me is a hobby. I can get out on my bike, share my opinions, teach, and so on. I think motovlogging is great for non-bikers, because they get to see different parts of the world from a biker's point of view. I also think some people live vicariously through motovloggers. But I do agree that getting a bike just to vlog is wrong. Get the bike for the ride and the feeling of freedom that comes with being out on the open road, not just to film. Now enough with this serious crap. =P
from what i can tell from other videos iv seen he's using slim picture camera that takes video in his helmet, in between the visor and his face. hehe.. wouldn't want that camera hitting me in the face on a crash

I just unsubscribed to you because of this video... it's pretentious and really just not that great - why discourage others at all? they are no loss to you.
why are you crying so much? and can you not read the discribtion? It states "I'm not trying to discourage people from vlogging."
he is stating the truth.. too many people have no sense of riding skills but buy a bike and a cam and pay more attention to them making a good vid then riding and that ends up in death! good price to pay huh? People like you really urk me cause they dont read and dont have common sense!!
I watch the vids cause i think they are funny and ride myself but dont vlog!
He is being honest... thats all he is doing. The problem is people cant accept the truth now a days anymore.. Vlogging and making money off it aint as easy as people think cause you have to get views to make money.. and buying a bike and cam right off the start is the most retarded thing you could do as you need to learn 2 ride before you concentrate on other things.. yea i want to make vids of me riding but for myself and not for vlogging as it takes a lot of skill to talk and keep and eye out
I don't record at the moment, I wasn't even thinking about blogging but more for in case I'm in an accident...as its getting pretty shit over here, bikers are automatically blamed, well it seems that way anyway..if you got proof that some twat killed you, well at least they would be rewarded properly :P
Mordeth, are you supposed to cross the double yellow lines in the centre of the road...as in the UK, we can't but they are white..just wondering if its the same over there...???
I've been riding in Vietnam for almost a decade. I've thought of recording my ride, but it never materialized until I saw your vids. You are a good vloger that inspire riders.
Because in his older videos he says that life wasn't the best, and went into more detail of what happened, and gives a valid reason why he has no reason to go back to Canada. Bird flu? lol. It can break out anywhere.
hey brandonm1392, my mother language is not English and even I can see that it's "their bird flu" maybe finish high school first. Then you might be mature enough to not leave such grammar incorrect racist comments.
some record so family and freinds in other locations can see whats going on in your life. so they can say hey whats blah blah up to lets check out what 67kneil is doing . so yeah back to raking leaves in New England maybe I will make a leaf raking blog the first ever thats all we do rake leaves and shovel snow silly monkey's we are
To sum up the message he is saying: DO NOT BECOME A MOTOBLOGGER!! because I really dont want any competition. I've already got enough people trying to steal some market share.
I also want to remind you that I am the original motoblogger and you guys are just trying to imitate me.
i just watched some other motovloggers and they're not that good. they don't have anything to offer like you're a Canadian in Taiwan. thats funny in itself. these other guys are just getting off work and talking about what bikes they wished they had. nothing interesting or different.
i fully agree with you mordeth, Taiwan's beautiful though, even though you make videos, you don't have to feel pressured by your viewers. I'm sure most of them enjoy your videos regardless, so its good let the world take a ride with you also, haha .. sometimes. I'm glad you do.
I remember that stream. :o) "ah hah." :D Again, like father, like son. :P Pressure? What pressure?! Everything (well, not every) has an on/off button; use it. :o) Which part of M13 felt the most pressure? :P Is it that time again for M13 to be 1 w/ nature? :o) Monovlogging if u must, rejoin the crowd whenever, or don't even hv to anymore. jk, seriously. :P There r billions of Ms, but there's only 1 M13. ;) Did that mitigate the pressure in any way? :P
I would advocate riders who have the money to invest in a camera set-up for insurance purposes. If you happen to start vlogging out of that, great. But chances are you won't be interesting enough to watch on a regular basis. IMO M13 gets so many subscriptions because he has multiple topics (bikes, pets, Asia, and videogames are the bulk of it), he has a good sense of humor, and he's controversial. Like he said at the outset, why give yourself that responsibility.

You got it mixed up dumbass, I hope for your sake you're joking, he's saying LEARN TO RIDE.. THEN you can worry about vlogging. M13 LEARNED to ride before he started vlogging... so he's entitled to be a vlogger first and foremost.
ya but the difference is that m13 has been riding a lot longer then he has been blogging and he does more then just bike blogging on his youtube channel so...shut up
Beautiful scenery there, Mordeth. Let's see...in no particular order, just as they come to mind...You, svengalie, suburbanryder, WilsonRydeR69, Trinith, ike955, starhobo14, Fudmottin, Pittimus, Swipe, sierraink, dpRider, and 88hawaii to name a few. There are more I've just lately come across, but these are the ones I've watched for a while.
Do I vlog? No. Would I like to? I'd like to try it out and "record for myself" first, but we'll see if anything comes of it. I might like riding too much.
Ive had my bike for about 6 months and I just recently got a camera and I haven't made a video where I'm riding yet. Its a thing that I'm going to do for me, for fun for myself, and don't honestly expect them to be good or exciting. I also want a camera on when I'm riding to catch crazy things like wrecks or if somebody pulls out in front of me I have proof, things like that. Becoming a youtube partner is way harder than people think, and that shouldn't be the goal, just have fun making videos.
Well i've racked up 10,000 miles in 12 months excluding offroad miles on the KTM, i would say i am a biker first and foremost :P
I've heard other motovloggers talk about this also and agree 100% that your riding should come before you're vlogging, you're advice on this is spot on.
Subscriber count is important, it's a measurement of your success on YouTube, nothing wrong with that at all
It's cool how you wear your heart on your sleeve, that's why i watch your videos, true and honest :)
Ducman69 (my real internet alias outside of youtube) was my AOL 1.5 username back in I think late 1994 inspired by my 1987 Ducati 650 motorcycle. Who's your daddy NOW? :D
I totally agree, because i've had the thought. I was riding today and thought about making vids but then, like you said, it wouldn't be getting away and i'm most likely to have an accident while talking to myself. I only just started myself and i love it! Just to get away...stuff going to work!
I like the idea but it's kinda discouraging for people who do wanna vlog. I mean the thing that ruins it is when you vlog just for subscribers and most of the established ones have said this. But you can't knock a guy for buying a bike and a camera going out there and talking while he's riding.
At the end of the day vlogging is just blogging with a throttle instead of a keyboad. Just can't make it about subscribers.
There are some people that think if they buy a bike and a camera then they'll automatically have thousands of subs....etc. I just want people to know it's not as easy as that.
I'd like to vlog, but I spent my last money on my RS,and now it needs a bit of both work and paperwork done,so none of my finances will go on Vlogging, ridding comes first!
i want a motorcycle for the babes!!!! no lool im kidding in one of ur vids ur like oh it only worked once with a hot chick in a bar or something. i want one not for vloging i just want one cause its cool and i can outrace many of the fuckers that have loud mufflers on their cars and think theyre cool
I like your vids because they are natural, alive, and honest. M13, do whatever you want to do....mmm or not...I respect you anyway. ...........the kid))))
there maybe be 100's more, but theres only one m13. i would prob never record my riding, mainly cos im either talking to myself or shouting at the living dead doing 40 in a 60
i was signed up on our forum w/ my suzuki s40 and then got my versys, you know the ugly bike.
I am new to riding and have maybe 9000 under my belt and 20 miles on film and made into vlogs. This is a good video and I absolutely agree that recording your first rides is a terrible idea.
It wasn't until I started riding w/ a local vlogger that made me decide to put a sony cybershot on the ol charge cardand try this vlogging thing out. (cont)
I think if you give in to the pressure that youtube gives you to record, youll be steadily more stressed, and eventually the quality of your videos will go down. You should make one every so often, less often than youre doing now, and make each video a novelty.
He is just giving you an advice man, take it or not in a way he just wants you to be safe. Learn how to ride a motorcycle then start recoring how you ride...
I know he is I just like to joke around sometimes with his comments he makes. I mean so many people that are fans of M praise him all the time and to me it seems, once in awhile, like they are up on m13's balls all the time.
And I like to disagree with him at times so he won't be all like, "I have everyone in the palm of my hands" well ... he would like that. I just want to disagree with him at times cause it makes me seem more human.
fave, 5 stars and comment. love how m13jr flipped the camera off. haha. and i agree about the vlogging thing and new riders riding just because they want to vlog.
haha i know of you(mordeth13), rebelley91,wooden chairs, 1van something or whatever 1, svengalie, eh.. rebelleys friend there.. i dunno, theres a bunch, they arent all good though. if they wanna make videos then let them, why get mad over something like that
I am not much of a follower but since my interest in bikes iv watched u & sven. I think that ur bike videos inspire people like me who do not have as much experience on riding & i do not think it is fair u to say that there is no point in vblogging. However, i do agree with what i think u say that people just starting to ride bikes soley for the purpose of vblogging & trying to get recognised is wrong.
Anyways! Ur clips are 5 Stars! Well Done! Your kid is so funny. lol
Mordeth I agree with you 100% I think people really should be focused on riding and learning before they get into recording. Next summer i'm starting with a Ninja 250. Can't wait, keep up the blogs i'm learning a lot and just wanted to say thanks.
the problem is that there are just to many ppl trying to do this kind of stuff. and so some of them who are really talented don't get a chance to show what they want to share coz of all of the untalented ppl! as soon as someone shows up with a great idea, another person tries to copy him! that's the ordinary run of events - really sad!
I was happy when I broke 1000 subscribers that I made a video that day, and I was on vacation...
do I care about them? no. so much so, i've dumped all my subscribers twice.
I do take the time, to msg people back if they msg on my smaller videos, or they e-mail me on youtube... but I dunno, I guess its harder to understand, than to say.
I was watching Danmoto73's videos for ages before i got the idea of starting to record, i thought it would be good to show people what i get up to. I've been riding bikes since i was 10 years old (my dad got me a small bike when i was young because he rode all his life and wanted me to try it out, so he shown me, i stuck to bikes ever since), does that make me a vaild biker lol
I wouldn't mind getting a camera to show people how many idiots try to kill me, but I have more important things to spend money on than a camera at the moment.
I'd also be very picky about the camera I would want.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i watched another motovlogger, he had a ninja 250 and was driving in arizona. he was going just over 10mph over the speed limit, as he was doing that he said "ok this is my aggressive driving" so he started to pass cars. and honestly he sounded scared shitless when he was doing it ahahaha
oh and another thing, he had NO IDEA what the fuck he was talking about. driving around a parking lot forgetting every sentence he said LOLamericans
I think you are so popular because you are very quick witted and humorous. I like the yuk. Sven, is clever in his way, as he is not a dullard. I like Atlas as he is the perfect nerd on a bike. He is very informative, and I appreciate what knowledge he shares. Spencerian, is good, and I checkout djclipster4breaks as he is from Michigan, the state where I used to live. Rebelyel91 is from Phoenix as is Atlas, I can see what new roads they are using.
Turns out theres a whole motorcycle vloging online community. Not just moto vlogers, but moto vlogers that keep in touch and mingle among each other in the online world. Buying a bike to vlog on it is indeed stupid. But otherwise its getting harder and harder to come up with an original idea, and I can't help but feel like you're getting onto those who aren't being original.
Go Montana!! Its a secret invasion! But why was I not invited... BTW The truck you passed before the Montana quad (think it was a Dodge or something) was what I think to be the FIRST truck out of all your videos lol. In Taiwan at least.
Yeah, I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that's it's not as simple as "bike + camera = thousands of subscribers" . Heck I know of a well known Texas motorcycle vlogger who has been making vlogs for 4 years....and still only has around 400 subs.
If people are watching videos and thinking thats FUN and enjoying it and are attracted to the sport/hobby of motorcycling as a result, how can that POSSIBLY be a bad thing?
And while the format of bike+road+camera is the same, no two vloggers can be the same as they are sharing THEIR unique personality and experiences.
I've been riding for 14 years now and would <3 to have footage from my earlier years, and motovlogging is connecting people from all over the globe. Its a good thing IMO.
Speaking of motovloggers. Looks like you are subscribed to many many of them. Everyone except for me.....and yet here you are watching and commenting on my video. Odd.
I moto vlog cuz its fun to me. If its work or a chore then you shouldn't be doing it.

At the end of the day vlogging is just blogging with a throttle instead of a keyboad. Just can't make it about subscribers.
kjohn919 2 years ago 2
There are some people that think if they buy a bike and a camera then they'll automatically have thousands of subs....etc. I just want people to know it's not as easy as that.

Out of the 100 moto vlogers m13 is by far the most enjoyable to watch. Everyone else is soooooooo boring.

I'd like to vlog, but I spent my last money on my RS,and now it needs a bit of both work and paperwork done,so none of my finances will go on Vlogging, ridding comes first!

I know my vids are boring but i look forward to traveling and meeting other people who like to ride and document the adventure.
slowfaller 2 years ago
Mordeth,
i was signed up on our forum w/ my suzuki s40 and then got my versys, you know the ugly bike.

Shut up don't tell me what to do M13!
Hey but what makes a good Vlogger is the topic and personality!
geminielf7 2 years ago
He is just giving you an advice man, take it or not in a way he just wants you to be safe. Learn how to ride a motorcycle then start recoring how you ride...
Nice video by the way M13...
Spartan1112 2 years ago
I know he is I just like to joke around sometimes with his comments he makes. I mean so many people that are fans of M praise him all the time and to me it seems, once in awhile, like they are up on m13's balls all the time.
And I like to disagree with him at times so he won't be all like, "I have everyone in the palm of my hands" well ... he would like that. I just want to disagree with him at times cause it makes me seem more human.
Plus I love when M13 gets pissed/ It's awesome!

fave, 5 stars and comment. love how m13jr flipped the camera off. haha. and i agree about the vlogging thing and new riders riding just because they want to vlog.

JakesToons 2 years ago
I am not much of a follower but since my interest in bikes iv watched u & sven. I think that ur bike videos inspire people like me who do not have as much experience on riding & i do not think it is fair u to say that there is no point in vblogging. However, i do agree with what i think u say that people just starting to ride bikes soley for the purpose of vblogging & trying to get recognised is wrong.
Anyways! Ur clips are 5 Stars! Well Done! Your kid is so funny. lol

Yes Mordeth, you are our slave. RIDE! RECORD! Mwahahahaa... slave!

13mordeth 2 years ago
Mordeth I agree with you 100% I think people really should be focused on riding and learning before they get into recording. Next summer i'm starting with a Ninja 250. Can't wait, keep up the blogs i'm learning a lot and just wanted to say thanks.
TrustyRoids 2 years ago
Been on mine just over a year now. Been all over Europe on it too (I live in England).
Great bike to learn on and don't let anyone who started on a 600 or above put you down for building your way up. You will be better for it.
Take care!

the problem is that there are just to many ppl trying to do this kind of stuff. and so some of them who are really talented don't get a chance to show what they want to share coz of all of the untalented ppl! as soon as someone shows up with a great idea, another person tries to copy him! that's the ordinary run of events - really sad!
but you made it! you can be proud of yourself!
keep going! ;]

I've been riding bikes since i was 10 years old (my dad got me a small bike when i was young because he rode all his life and wanted me to try it out, so he shown me, i stuck to bikes ever since), does that make me a vaild biker lol
hughes111 2 years ago
cool kid! he's gonna have more subscribers than you :))

I wouldn't mind getting a camera to show people how many idiots try to kill me, but I have more important things to spend money on than a camera at the moment.
I'd also be very picky about the camera I would want.
razorbackblood06 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
i watched another motovlogger, he had a ninja 250 and was driving in arizona. he was going just over 10mph over the speed limit, as he was doing that he said "ok this is my aggressive driving" so he started to pass cars. and honestly he sounded scared shitless when he was doing it ahahaha
oh and another thing, he had NO IDEA what the fuck he was talking about. driving around a parking lot forgetting every sentence he said LOLamericans

I think some try to copy your style.
cashstore1 2 years ago
Turns out theres a whole motorcycle vloging online community. Not just moto vlogers, but moto vlogers that keep in touch and mingle among each other in the online world. Buying a bike to vlog on it is indeed stupid. But otherwise its getting harder and harder to come up with an original idea, and I can't help but feel like you're getting onto those who aren't being original.

Yeah, I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that's it's not as simple as "bike + camera = thousands of subscribers" . Heck I know of a well known Texas motorcycle vlogger who has been making vlogs for 4 years....and still only has around 400 subs.
13mordeth 2 years ago
you gotta have the voice and the attitude for it. You have a pretty good voice for vlogging. idk, something about it is ... "soothing"

DumbDuck44 2 years ago 4
