Climate-gate has been debunked. It was a right wing media creation and it completely misrepresented the facts. Check out the 'Climate Denial Crock of the Week' videos on youtube, especially one called 'Unwinding Hide the Decline,' which breaks down the lies about climate-gate
Do you think you're going to have an "equal world" with the cap and trade and carbon taxes like Australia? Check out this video on YouTube about immigration and the world poor: "Immigration by the Numbers -- Off the Charts" Watch it and let me know what you think.
Since Climate-gate and the apparent kickbacks taken by James Hansen (NASA climate guy) it drives home the point that government can act (or try to act) w/ bad info on bull. The relationship that the scientific community has with the Government needs to be reformed before we can trust the Government or the scientific community. I.E. the government and scientists should encourage competition of ideas -not stifle it. not "the debate is over" and "if you disagree with me you should be destroyed."
Government can deal with big environmental issues as long as the people can have some majority vote on it. Other aspects of the environment...I think the government can do their job. Pessimism is one of the greatest things people have against the government, not giving them a chance to shine, especially when half the people complaining don't do ANYTHING about the issues
If we followed the US Constitution, "equal protection" would mean something. But the unelected fourth branch of government -- the immense, unaccountable federal bureaucracies -- like the EPA, doesn't give a damn what you, congress, nor I think -- what's fair -- or whether the Constitution authorizes its existence. Which is something to think about long and hard in 2012. It's all about money. You want the EPA deciding where America's money goes? EPA fees/fines are taxation without representation.
