Right before lighting the whole pack he bends a match under his thumb to prevent it from burning, then by flipping the pack over to close it he pushes the match back in out of sight.
guys i dont want to be a spoiler but really look and see when people are doing magic tricks they always need a distraction in this case the distraction is when he is rubbing the back side of his hand in a circular motion now im not a magician but i am a teenage boy but instead of looking at his fingers rubbing the back side of his hand look at his left hand fingers you can see that he is moving his fingers and putting the match in the box there for your attention is on the back side of his hand
@joevahntawinsauce If this was how it worked how did the match end up reattached to the matchbook? Oh yeah, and just to say, your bit about distraction is right (the most important weapon in a magicians arsenal) but your method for how it works is way off. Nothing gets snuck back into the matchbook, it's WAY more sneaky that that!
@dmsanders25@dmsanders25 it can't be that obvious as that's not what he does. This is a very simple beginners trick (i've been doing magic close to 17 years) but the fact that you could see no other way to do it other than use a terrible camera trick surely proves just how effective this trick can be. And yes, this can be (and I have) done in real life.
