This song is quality. The video i agree is'nt the greatest but music doesnt have to be about video's. Bloc Party are an amazing band. For those of you who make negative comments please stop. If you dont like Bloc Party dont watch or listen to them so!

If I hadn't already read Less Than Zero and loved it, I would say that this little movie was AMAZING. However, the song just seemed a little off with the video. It was amazingly well executed, though, so props to that :)

Really nice shootings and effects, but unfortunately I can't see the story in the vid, which it really lacks. And the girl in white, running through the song doesn't fill this need, feels like a simple returning scene with no real meaning. Still because of the connection with teh vampire thing, and the beautiful shots it makes it.

i think the story is: girl gets bitten by a vampire, becomes a vampire, chases down a girl in white, who might represent her own innocence/previous self, and is thus consumed by the creature that she has become.

Someone mentioned that this video is like Less Than Zero, and then someone else mentioned that the actual song is based on Less Than Zero and this video doesn't match it at all. I've never read it so I'm not sure who is right but it's weird that the video reminded one person of the book and one person said it was nothing like the book and should have matched better. Anyway, I'll check out the book. I don't think videos have to match the content/intent of the song, and usually they don't.

i think i have a different version of song for clay.... the begining is tatlly different and instead of sleeping pills its Xanax and the chorus is different too but im sure the voice is from Kele so im a bit confused(help!).... pd good video love it

You maybe should have read "Less Than Zero" before making a video about a song that is totally inspired by the book.

So yeah, it's visually perfect, but it doesn't fit Clay, nor the background of the book at all.

Actually when I was very first thinking this up I had sort of intended the video to be for Young Love's "Find A New Way" but I love the new Bloc Party album and ended up thinking this song would work out much better (fortunately the idea was still pretty undeveloped). It's just vampire coincidence you could say, but in the song he's talking about East London metaphorically...

I totally agree. Although you managed to create a visually gorgeous looking video (compliments to the DP/cinematographer), the pace was completely wrong - it just doesn't work with the song, its too slow. It was as if you made the film and then just stuck the song on over the top. Just my opinion, sorry for being a dickhead...

I enjoyed it. I thought overall the piece was a little too simple and basic. The shots were beautifully calibrated of course, but I would have liked some more rapid shots, perhaps to emphasis disorientation and confusion or something...
