  • this sounds like a doran-cunningham 6 B Horn to me!

  • @upinthisbiz It's a Leslie Tyfon 300.

  • Is this next to the 'SS America Roolz' and the 'SS America is Better than Yeurop?'

  • Cool ! took the cruise this may 16 in Tampa and loved it, I was right in front of the funnel when the horn came on a couple of time, talk about a surprise!!!

  • I've done some research and found that the SS American Victory is 63 years old and makes regular cruises on Tampa Bay.

The next cruise is set for Saturday, Nov. 8

  • Thats all just TOOT!!

  • Is it a steam whistle or compressed air horn

  • Steam.

  • that isnt the american victory, thats the wrong color stack for it to be the american victory. thats the type of color for like the edwin h. gott, or the arthur m. anderson, correct me if i'm wrong. NICE HORN!!

  • You are probably thinking of the Great Lakes ship. This is not that one, this is the SS American Victory, a WWII Victory Ship that is in Tampa, Florida.

  • yea srry bout that, i saw ur other vids and felt like a real dumb ass. nice video though.

  • @go462 Yes this is the American Victory that is docked in Tampa, Florida. Both served in WWII though. I am luck enough to have seen them both.

  • A Leslie steam Tyfon 300 being blown on air! Originally, the horn would have been blown using steam with a pitch that was a Major 3rd higher than what you hear in this clip (130 Hz instead of 104).
