Also, you need to remember that they probably worked that level out up one end and down the other to show it off. The engine is certainly impressive. They didn't show the textures as much, but they don't look final either. The textures need to be worked on there, too. :)
@vladut15bis That was before pre-alpha. Games always look like that. Their new pics look insane, and, from the descriptions of the engine on their website, it beats the crap out of the frostbite and crytek engines. Remember that textures aren't necessarily graphical capabilities. It is also performance and efficiency. The Source engine (made in 2005, I think?) has been running stuff like portal 2. Graphics wise, it looks fine, but it can't handle very much in the form of particles or map size.
@HappyGuyxlii I haven't seen any new screens rather than those. But remeber : Battlefield 3 is also in Pre-Alpha stage and it still looks awesome. ( Yeah,I know you said those photos are before the Pre-Alpha stage)
