  • You sheep got led to the TARP slaughter. You thought Obama was looking out for you. Wrong! He is a puppet. You got screwed and the rich got richer under Obama. Deal.

  • advertising for someone elses channal?

    sockpuppet?

    namechange?

  • Capitalism is the historic evolution of private property relationship of alienation, exploitation and suffering of humanity in a modality of production for profit in a world market of ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY and manipulation to perpetuate the conditions of exploitation in the interest of the Owning/Ruling elite. Capitalism is the monetary web of deception and suppresssion of humanity for the abstract process of capital accumulation and concentration . A system of dehumanisation and devaluation

  • America:

Oppose socialism when it's for the benefit of the people (universal health-care, social benefits, so forth).

Support socialism when it's for the rich (giving tax payer money to the corporations and the banks)

  • The lecture 'Free Market Fantasies' is on Youtube. Listen to it! Chomsky gave it in 1996 and looking back now all of what he said about the banks and bail outs etc is totally prophetic

  • How come when you look at CNN and MSNBC and they have all these so called "experts" on...how come you never see Chomsky? He would make an excellent guest on any news show in my opnion.

  • the reason why is what the press call "concision" that is the guests need to be concise to fit between commercials. chompsky refuses to answer in soundbites. its a great propaganda tool too makes everything seem simple

  • Read his book and you'll have your answer.

  • "He would make an excellent guest on any news show" - that is exactly why he is not on any...

  • I'm sorry but it wont work to have him on. He has commented on this, and the reason is tv programs often only give you so little time to each subject.

The only oppinions and suggestions that you can give time for are opinions you already knew. Repeating what you already read in the papers and so on.

  • Because he can't give 30 second sound bytes in a 5 minute interview, 3 minutes of which will deal with the host saying, "Wait, so you're against capitalism? That's not very American"

  • @scampbell04 The reason has been explained by the man himself. The Professor will NOT conform to their "sound bite" mentality. In his words and I am paraphrasing he simply states that they (the modern media) do not want real, tacit, lucid and understandable explanations to our nations and world's problems. They want the quick rant..and then on to commercial or Paris Hilton.

  • @scampbell04 Because the telexperts are experienced in firing off 2-second soundbyte cliche responses to a range of questions. Chomsky takes his time to answer, avoids flagrant rhetoric and conveys extremely inconvenient truths that tend to make even mainstream liberals squirm uncomfortably.

  • Nader is right on this issue.

  • Nader is usually right!!

  • Obama and Bush and McCain and Clinton... what's the difference again?

  • Obama does not want everybody to be economically equal. Obama is a staunch supporter of the national and global neoliberal agenda. Stating otherwise would be unsubstantiated and ridiculous.

  • No, people just don't like being ripped off and want even playing field, which we all should be entitled too, but never will.

  • They are absolutely right. It's bullshit, but people are held by the new scare tactic that our economy will die and america will collapse if some multibillionaires lose any of the mass amounts of money that have been fleeced from americans.

why bail out failing companies, if anything give loans to people to start NEW companies, new people, innovative and hungry people. that's capitalism.

  • steve, you sound like monk from the tv show.

    chomsky is never wrong.

    nader is a good man.

    great video! thanks man.

  • orlly?

  • whats worng with freemasonsy?where do you think egalitarian ideas of democracy and freedom came from?have you read any mason literature?nader is not a mason anyway.ther is no central authority in masonry so if masons have done evil you cant blame masonry, you dont knwo what your talkign about stop listening to alex jones

  • MASONS rule the world ....wars after war after war ...masons tell you the are good while the 33 degree very bad ..most masons never reach 33 degree ...the is more to tell world than you cnn,bbc telling you ... 911 was inside job done by nwo so thats the can attack lots places ..useing 911 which is false flag

  • LOL, u think nader is pushing for a NWO??? Take a look at the phonies running for the mainstream political parties. NAFTA?? WTO??? now thats NWO

i guess you dont even know what NWO is

  • Your comment totolondon, is the most ridiculous youtube comment I've ever read.

  • haha, but it did bring the lulz right?

  • Yeah, the crisis was a bit unexpected and rather severe, but they way the government has reacted is not in the least startling. If you look at their record, the Regan/Bush people have never been serious capitalists. Neither has the US in general. Just look at computers, the internet, modern transport - all came from years of government research and funding from the taxpayer. Then the profits were private. That's a much bigger scam - the whole system from the ground up is soc. for rich. cap for

  • Vote Nader!

  • antiparticlesteve, Many thanks for the post. I wish more people had a memory and stopped thinking in 10-second capsules.... How timely, 12 years later, what Chomsky says. Big Finance is a very good illusionist. Whilst the populace is soo busy (like mice) running around, consuming, working and worrying, the Big Finance-Houdinis are making the real dough...

  • I'm getting tired of second rate pseudo intellectuals asserting that the 'bail out' is designed to instill stablity within the financial system. The 'bail out' is designed to give bourgousie another chance to be infallible all over again. If we are to destroy capitalism, we must listen more to people like chomsky and benn and alot less of people like greenspan.

  • I agree, but Benn and Chomsky are completely different people with completely different ideas.
