  • Amazing video!

  • Cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this is! I loved it!!! Especially love the "Wizard of Oz" clips! The synchronization of the music with all these timeless classics is superb.

  • More comment: if only the way you perfectly cut to Brando yelling "STEL-LAH!" in perfect synch - that alone is worth watching this vid.

Wonderful aspect of net is wealth of old movies, great actors, cinematographers & editors, will not be lost. New generations will have this heritage. At my venerable age ;) have seen nearly all these films recognize- these faces, and the role. TY for posting list of films, might inspire viewing some of these great films.

  • I'm flattered to receive a reply. If it is out of synch I did not notice, but perfectionism is why this is so great. I really enjoyed it, and sure I will make this a go-to place now. I sent links last night until utube made me stop - that never happened before! But, I never sent so many links. as I often told my sons: "Ya did good, kid!!"

See this... create a video response... ah... if only I had any idea how to do that!! I'll just enjoy what you did.

  • OK, here's a test... turn off the sound... and it still is a compelling video.

Creator of this is a very skilled editor !

  • this is the most superbly edited video/film I ever have seen, and I've loved movies most of my 67 years. I loved this music when I first heard it , wore out the tape, cannot find the cd. You definitely could sell this. I'm so glad you posted it. IF you are not an employed editor... this would make a helluva audition!! My reaction? Think I'm about to cum.... apart with sheer happy toe tapping, ass shaking delight.

  • @Jeri30317 Thanks- I loved the song when it first came out too, and I wanted to put something like this together for many years. Technology finally caught up with my wish, and the result turned out close to what I was aiming for (there's only a couple places wherein the music is a little out-of-synch with the imagery). I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC! Brilliant work! (I've loved Hooked on Classics since they came out, and now have them all on my MP3 player...)

  • Great work!!!

I invite you to see both parts of a Video edited and produced by me, based on the early and second parts of medley POP GOES THE MOVIES Meco make, and that made me appreciate the great themes of classic movies. (Youtube Version)

Search; Meco Pop goes the movies Part 01 and Meco Pop goes the movies Part 02.

  • the 'hooked on' series was intended to teach kids about classical music with a rhythmic signature clap that they participate in.

  • Beautiful video. I've seen 125 of the films. Still so much to see, great! Thank you. Well done !

  • Great compilation of classics !

  • Great score & composition!

  • way to end with Fred and Ginger!! lol. love it! great vid!

  • Thanks for the comments. I thought Fred and Ginger were the right stars wrap it up with.

  • Just amazing, positively brilliant! I wish all people who set out to make YT videos could do them this well! I wish I could!

  • this is one of the bst tributes of classic films ive watched. the music, the movies they all match . BRILLIANT!

  • Really good work. I enjoyed every minute and every picture.

  • i love it! where'd u download pretty poison from?!

  • "Poison" was released on DVD a couple years ago, without the fanfare befitting this cult classic.

  • I really do like the cavalcade of wonderful cliches - the classical music which has been played repeatedly (partly because it requires no royalty payments!), set to a disco beat, accompanying the film clips which themselves are so familiar (at least, to people of my age). Gives one a happy feeling of familiarity and enjoyable anticipation - which one will be next? Can I name all the movies?

  • disco beethoven and classical...it dont get any better!!!

  • thx for the great vids !!

if there is any way we can see "the best man"

in it's entirety, that would be super !!!!

    blessings, and thx !!

    c

  • Great video! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

  • Fantastic job! - I only wish the titles were available but it goes by so quickly it would be hard to do. Enjoyed!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I do have the titles listed in sequential order under the information for the video, if you want to check them out there.

  • How has this video not been seen/commented on as much as it should have been?!?

THIS IS AMAZING...and I'm only commenting 0:45 into it! That's how phenominal it is! GREAT job!

  • Thank you very much for the positive comments. I've wanted to put this one together for along time, so the "thumbs up" are gratifying.

  • Haha this is great! I love classic movies haha

  • Love it!!

  • Oooh, I like this one a lot.
