@marckid93 Here are some tips. You just gotta be swift and stealth like a ninja yourself. When you're surrounded, mondo on the laser and sidestep to keep your distance (L and R). But if you're entering a desolate area, don't let your guard down; they are most likely hiding. In which case, press triangle and scan the room carefully. Take out any that are close and then pick a safe spot to take out the rest. Up against a wall is usually best so they can't attack you from behind.

@marckid93 Also, only get butterflies when you absolutely need them. If there is a ninja box in the room, kill ninjas that are a threat to you, then focus on annihilating it. If you are being attacked by ones with sticks AND guns, always take out the ones with the guns first. Sidestepping while shooting is the best way to toast a hoard of them coming at you from one direction, and if your HP gets too low and you feel hesitant to progress, go back and look for re-spawned butterflies.
