  • slide on a mandolin... amazing.

    nicely played Sam Bush.

  • Bela picking a solid body electric banjo, Jerry playing lap steel and Sam playing slide on a what ? -an electric resonator mandolin ? weird but fun, yet I prefer the more conservative line-up.

  • FER SURE!!!

Vintage NGR RULES! So cool to see YOUNG Bela (with the pre-deering electric, no less) and the guys having fun.

    Great post.

  • while listening to the first song you forget that theres just one person playing

  • What is that electric banjo? It sure sounds like an electric guitar. Cool clip - thanks for uploading!

  • @mikaPELL I think Bela has a pickup in his banjo. He's used Fishman pickups for many years.

  • @vcp430 Yes, I know that but he plays an electric banjo later in the clip (about 2:10) that I haven't seen before. Must be from his pre-Crossfire days.

  • @mikaPELL Also, Sam seems to be playing a four string electric resophonic mandolin. Gotta love the 80's!

  • woke up with a bluegrass state of mind. started surfing New Grass Revival on youtube and came across your post.. thanks! lost of good ones..

  • look out for "revival" and "cant stop now" ;)
