Okay, is anyone else confused when he says at about 2:00 that murtagh is the eldest member of their family, or so they think. does that mean that eragon and murtagh have another sibling that is older than them?

My theory is that Roran is actually Eragon's brother and an egg hatches for him. At around 2:00 he says Murtage is not the eldest member of their family, and earlier in the interview he says he always thought of the book as the struggles of three brothers.

@WalkingHazy while roran being a rider wouldn't surprise me, i find him and eragon being brothers by blood incredibly insulting. to have delved so deeply into eragon's renouncement of murtagh as a brother and morzan as a father (before having known that brom is his true father) only to discredit it with the fact that roran is brom and/or selena's son, which would also disturb the plot line of the first book and raise unnecessary questions for book four.

Two guesses for me: Empire or Eldunari. I no it's not original, but plz read moi theory:

Roran or Eragon could inherit the Empire because they could have been decedants of king palencar. And even if Eragon doesn't want to be king, when its in ur blood, its inheritance.

And Eldunari, wild guess here, but maybe he gets Brom's Saphira's eldunari, cos it never said that Saphira didn't choke hers up...

eragon and roran will inherit their vengeance over galbatorix. the name might have to do with that. maybe something with him inheriting his responsibilities of trainging the new rider, after they save the remainging dragon eggs... just something to ponder on. im really excited for book 4 when is it coming !!!!!!!!

the dragon won't die if the rider's does. they mention in the third book that dragons who got their riders killed still continued helping the other riders and dragons.

@koll403 actually its not necissarily an instant death for a dragon, because glaedr lives long enough to bite off a part of thorn' tail, plus keep in mind that he may have lived longer since his hearts of hearts was givin to eragon, idk but t might have a made a difference in his life span.

I don't think Eragon nor Saphira will die. I hope it ends well!! ^^ There were some rumours about the possible name of Empire" for the 4th book... but at the same time I dont think Eragon will "Inherit" the power as a ruler of Alagaesia

@darsus19 yes a lot of bad was in the first one. They didn't follow the book and because of this resulted in screwing up the chance to make further movies of the franchise that follow the first film. Companies say that the best maneuver is to remake the whole film. Rottentomatoes gave it an incredibly poor review.

also when glaedr and oromis allow eragon and saphira to take glaedrs heart of hearts they say that if they die in battle it will be up to them to pass on the riders teachings lol pretty obious it called legacy and whoever says it empire is vry vry silly and doesnt look at the harder more hidden clues such as these all i can say is the proof will be in the pudding

ridiculous if you actually read the books eragon has no intrest in taking over as king i believe the forth book should be called legacy because eragon inherits the legacy of passing on the dragon riders so for all you dumb idiots out there he inherits the riders legacy so he inherits the legacy i bet it called legacy not empire we just have to wait to find out lol

The last book is called EMPIRE: because he defeats galbatorix and then gets galby's EMPIRE.

The only problem with your theory, is that eragon will not inherit the empire. He's repeated it several times that he doesn't want the throne. Therefore you theory is trumped.
