@5ARamir6 Okay. I've included now a link at the top where you can listen to the entire 1st act. (YouTube won't let me post it here in comments.) While the entire thing is written, the vocals for the remaining 3 acts won't be recorded until Apr 2012.
Now that I think about it, it kinda gives the sense of a demented, twisted, dark, evil little world, and/or a demented steampunk scientist who can make amazing wonders but can also cause amazing trouble. Or something.
In the near future I and some other high school friends will be filming a steampunk-themed movie in our local sandpit. We are already starting a budget. If you are interested in seeing the end result, visit my page and subscribe. I have no steampunk videos up yet, but by mid february the project will be finished. See you on the other side.
A beautiful elfin girl with long red hair sits in her torn ballgown next to a still pond, dipping her feet in and out of the water. She looks up into the night sky, her eyes enveloped by the black of her soul. She smiles, wiping her curved mouth of blood.
This is what I just saw while listening to this. I've found my muse! Thank you steampunk:)
Tim Burton needs to make a film with a Steampunk flavour, using this song as the theme...I can just see Johnny Depp playing an elegant, eccentric cross between James Barry and the Mad Hatter.
I love the eerie sort of mischievious feel to this music! Also the slight tones of industrial sounds to it! It definitely fits steampunk to me, love it!
Fantastic...and perhaps one of few tunes that display the theme of steampunk so well. Not within the name, or how the musicians dress - but at heart, the sound itself.
Wow I love this music and I will actively seek out more from the opera. I would love to use it for dance music at the Steampunk Exhibition Ball. It is a great fast waltz.
I like! It is soothing enough for an overture yet mechanical enough to set the mood for the rest of the opera. To me it felt like it transitions nicely and flowed through the entire piece. I was feeling a little of Danny Elfman with a lot of Paul Shapera. Can't wait to hear the rest of it.
fun and enticing overture, can't wait to hear more. The prospect of a steampunk opera is pretty thrilling!

I totally agree this is what steampunk should sound like. Get rid of most of the singing, and do this.

WoW! What Steampunk should sound like. Make a whole album of this---no voices no singing and it would sell like hotcakes.
