A beautiful elfin girl with long red hair sits in her torn ballgown next to a still pond, dipping her feet in and out of the water. She looks up into the night sky, her eyes enveloped by the black of her soul. She smiles, wiping her curved mouth of blood.

I like! It is soothing enough for an overture yet mechanical enough to set the mood for the rest of the opera. To me it felt like it transitions nicely and flowed through the entire piece. I was feeling a little of Danny Elfman with a lot of Paul Shapera. Can't wait to hear the rest of it.
