@princess92717 this is all speculation, and of course nothing is official... but I think she has a very short family tree.

in the manga, Queen Serenity says she is an incarnation of the moon goddess Selene. if she really is Selene herself, then her parents are the Titans, Hyperion and Theia. Selene's grandparents were Uranus and Gaia. Selene has a brother named Helios and a sister named Eos.

Interestingly, Selene had a child with Zeus, her name was Pandia, the goddess of the full moon.

The connections to mythology kind of fall apart after this point... Selene (not Pandia) and Endymion were lovers who had 50 children. Selene also had a daughter Ersa (goddess of dew)... and there seem to be no more connections to the SM story after this point. (this is interesting to find out, I'm glad you asked this and made me look it all up!)

it's all guesswork and nothing is official, fans can only speculate what Naoko Takeuchi really meant... chances are she may never have even thought about it.

@bobdonda Biologically she is not the same person. BUT she has the same soul, when serenity died on the moon her soul was reborn as usagi, along with the same powers(ability to use the silver crystal ect). the same is true for the rest of the senshi, tuxedo kamen and the shitenno

They are currently showing Sailor Moon in Italy and in other countries, and I read that if the Anime is a hit, they will bring SM back to the U.S. But if they decide to dub the Stars season, I hope that they just leave it be, to just have it in english, and for the voices to be close to the originals.

I used to watch this anime when I was very little more than 12 years ago and I couldn't understand a single word of what they were saying because it was televised on a italian chanel with german subtitles and I'm romanian.But somehow the overall meaning transcended all barriers and I know that happened because this anime was brilliant and fun and sweet. The English Dub song is very similar to the original japanese for seasons 1-4. This is the the opening theme song for the VERY last season(5), "Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars", which was never premiered in America because in The US, it's more of a kids show and some material in the 5th season was considered ' inappropriate'.
