  • @eddievaliant1 Lol he totally does....and Christopher Lee ;)

  • Funky

  • Bing Crosby has an awesome voice

  • Actually, I'm beginning to think that Brom scared Ichabod away. He didn't kill him.

  • @Cha2002 thats the whole point of the story, you dont know if the horseman killed him or Brom scared him off

  • Why do I get the feeling that the headless horseman is actually Brom in disguise?

  • The ending is frightfully errie,

  • gosh im 13 and i get scared at the end...

  • headless horseman.... headless horseman.... headless horseman... HEREHECOMES!!!! XD

  • That is one of the most epic evil villain laugh and the most epic villain entrance in any film/cartoon I've seen

  • 1:22 LOL!!! THIS IS JUST TOO FUNNY!!!! :D

  • i read this on the book.

  • FOR CRYING OUTLOUD, RIDE YOUR HORSE PROPERLY MAN !

  • 8:55-8:58 is epic

  • I love watching this @ hallowe`en night :D

  • my brother use to be afraind of this because of the ending

  • i watched this when i was a child...it brings back memories...

  • Because of Disney movies I grew up believing not that everyone was beautiful in varying degrees, but that there was a definite "pretty one" and "ugly one" in every pair.

  • This is when they knew how to scare you without blood and gore....

  • I love that look at on Broms face at 0:47 as if to say i got his ass now!

  • I LOVE the laugh of the Headless Horseman!!! So Iconic.

  • @MedievalMind Me too! I always try to replicate it, and fail miserably.

  • my dad told me to never whistle at night .it will call a ghost ..

  • @80z90zhouzemuzicgrl

Ooh that's creepy enough to tell the kids at the halloween party! Thanks!

  • @extranera oh no problem he also used to tell us that if in the middle of the night u start to hear a dog howl that a ghost is around the area ..and let me tell you there was plenty of times where i would wake up at 2 am and began to hear a dog howl and i lived in the mountains ...that was SCARRRY

  • Brom's underbite distracts from his muscles.

  • Comment removed

  • The Headless Horseman used to scared the shit out of me when I was a kid!!! O.o

  • Ichabod eats too much and he´s too skinny.. cof cof munchies cof cof

  • @Orejo He was like that in the original Washington Irving story, too.

  • "Gather round and I'll hallucinate...."

  • @SparklezFish Elucidate. means to clarify, explain.

  • @drekfletch Well thanks for elucidating :)

  • crow: Here He Comes!

  • ehehe laughing with a plant suasage

  • I was amused to find our recently a real person from my home state of New Jersey helped inspire this story. During his time in the colonial army, Washington Irving encountered a captain Ichabod Crane from Elizabethtown, NJ-when he settled down to start writing, he remembered the odd name and decided to use it for his story. Crane's tombstone still stands to this day.

  • i love how i am have watched paranormal activity 1 & 2, insidious, Jennifer's Body and the Tim Burton version of this, and this is by far the scariest movie I have ever seen

  • Lovely to watch this again! It's stuck in my mind for many years when I first saw it at my Primary School. Ahh, such nostalgia!

  • Frogs saying Ichabod, that was used in Tim Burton's version of Sleepy Hollow before the fake Headless Horseman appeared.

  • I LOVE the song about the Headless Horseman, as well as the scene in the spooky forest..the first time I was ever actually scared of a cartoon!!

  • Okay ,so how much tea was in that kettle to be pouring for like 5 mins.lol

  • And this is why, after dark, we go home in groups kids.

  • 1:35 to 1:58. How much tea is in that teapot exactly?

  • @TARDIS280 exactly wat i thought?!

  • That laugh is probably the scariest shit i've ever, EVER. seen in my life.

  • @CinnAlla well-put, couldn't have said it better myself :)

  • Creepiness

  • This song and the hands covering the moon were the creepiest parts of this whole movie for me as a kid. Who knew I would grow up to be a haunt actor/horror enthusiast, and this is one of my favorites!!!!!!

  • @creepydoll415 The (very cool) 1957 movie "Night of the Demon" has a moment where the moon disappears behind clouds that I swear was lifted right from this cartoon!

  • @creepydoll415 Yeah those were hella creepy, also the pale-skinned man freaked me out alot as a kid. how I miss the old disney

  • his laugh e_e oh god..Im not sleeping tonight.

  • @SouleaterOnyx ichabods laugh that is

  • 4:47 Do you see the hands covering the moon? Talk about creepy.

  • LOLLLL!!! at 9:38!!! strong legs! XD

  • who thinks katrina looks like cindera?

  • 1:11 ok who invited the creepy guy

  • Ichabod wouldn't last a day in NYC...

  • Man the head less horseman laughs constantly the whole time he shown. I guess it was that joke at 7:34 that made him laugh so hard.

but in all seriousness it's the song while ichabod is traveling through the forest that makes it so scary. I should know, I played it once, the whole version. It scared the shit out of me just playin it!!!

  • Anyone notice that the part leading up to the horseman's appearance was scarier than the headless horseman himself?

  • @coasterjudge yeah, that was scary, it all was, but i thought the part where you didn't know where he was, was scarier! i dont know why, but i was laughing so hard when he was running away from the horseman!

  • @coasterjudge Yes, I love the tension. Tension is what makes things scary.

  • @coasterjudge being in constant fear is far more scary than the thing itself.

  • @coasterjudge well yea the crickets are saying what sounds like "thats right be afraid" and the frogs saying headless horseman, and u hear a wolf howling in the background and all these creepy looking branches and shadows, but when the horseman does appear, hes not as scary lol i did notice that

  • I love all the noices, and how they're warning him

    Crickets: Ichabod, turn back!

    Frog: Headless Horseman!

    Owl: GO! GO!

    IT'S AMAZING!

  • notice the forest animals calling, u hear 'beware,' from those crows and 'ichabod,' from the frog...

  • @00laum1 "Here he comes!" ^_^

  • 8:13 HOLY SHIT HES REAL

  • The Headless Horseman = my all-time favourite character. I was so happy when they added him to World of Warcraft :p.

  • Hahah, that grin at 0:56

  • @Dulcie19 I like the smile at 1:07

  • @iknownothing34 oh yeah hahaha :)

  • just how much tea is in that teapot? must have borrowed it from one of the ones in alice in wonderland.

  • Is it just me, or was the Headless Horseman's laughing borrowed in the original "Prince of Persia 2" for Jaffar?

  • Is it just me or does Katrina look a bit like Cinderella...? Thanks so much for uploading this! <3

  • what's the name of those plants hitting the log at 7:30 ? do they have them in japan? (art related question)

  • @izlude2, I think they might be cattails. I believe they mostly grow in English-speaking countries like the United States, Australia, the U.K., and New Zealand.

  • @Stussmeister thanks :D you're absolutely right. this helps.

  • @izlude2 Cattails. Or Cat tails. A plant found in marshes.

  • The horseman's laughter is so epic...

  • 4:10 Ahh! A one of a kind penis-horse.

  • wow this is the best HORROR cartoon EVER

  • The girl looks like Cinderella. Kind of.

  • Turn on all the lights....yep yep. Not watching this freaky thing in the dark. OR drunk.

  • Funny scene from 7:00 to 7:07 lol

  • the crow is a bit creepy to some people. "beware! beware! beware!"

  • @Tonykomnenos If the Headlss' Horsemans head was behind his armor how could he steer his horse? Also ichabod rode close enough to see down his armor. His terrafied reaction shows that he did not see a head, you cant hide a head that well to not see it completley. If the rest of your body is usable your head cannot be hidden behind your back. He stoped EXACTLY at the edge of the bridge(wouldnt be able to see if under armor)? The Horseman also threw the pumpkin with accuracy (needing eyes for human)

  • @Suneki Actually my reasons are very good.... Also ichabod LOOKED down the horsemans armor....not noticing his head with a scared reaction. As well as i agree a regular horse cannot jump as far as it did. Im getting at if the tale existed before brom used it.....Brom could not have been the REAL Headless Horseman....he might have just USED it for his evil doings but he isn't the original Headless Horseman.

  • 5:39 Actually made me jump.

  • He has NEVER had to go through the woods to get to his home any other of the times! He just walked through the streets! =[

  • How the heck is Icabod skinny?! He eats more than anyone I've seen!

  • have you guys herd of a movie of a liitle girl left home got lost and a woman captured the girl and the woman had 3 crocidiles

  • @adriana123715 Uh...The Rescuers?

  • The horse lags it

  • I've always wondered which actor they got to do the Headless Horseman's creepy laugh...

  • FINALLY i understand what the old, scary guy in the chair is saying. lol

  • Who is that creepy guy at 1:11?

  • What do the crickets say at 5:54 ?

  • @eddievaliant1 I think they're supposed to be saying "Ichabod, Ichabod..."

  • @eddievaliant1 Icabod

  • Is it just me or does that girl look like cinderella

  • Aaaah, that slow horse is killing me!

  • Nice classic cartoon.Gosh I miss the day that I used to love it.

  • Wow, the frogs say "Headless Horseman" and the crow "Beware", it's so awesomely creepy.

  • i like the fact he posted the lyrics, very good move, i saw it 20 years ago the latino version but i love it

  • wtf is this shit?

  • Katrina looks a lot like cinderella at 1:53

  • @Dulcie19 I agreed.

  • @RuthieIrken yay ! lol

  • @Dulcie19 *blushing* Thanks. And it's true. She does look like Cinderella.

  • Read the book, it is definitely implied that Brom Bones dressed up like the horseman to trick Ichabod. In the end of the story it says something about Brom laughing every time the pumpkin was mentioned when the story was told.

  • The part in 0:44 what was Ichabod doing?

  • @bellamovie2

    Disposing the cocaine

  • @bellamovie2 theres a legend where is you spill salt you have to throw it over your left shoulder or eles youll get bad luck

  • @bellamovie2 There's a superstition which says that when you spill salt (which was once an expensive commodity) the devil appears. By throwing a pinch of salt over your left shoulder you catch him in the eye with it, and back he goes to hell.

The left side of things was always associated with evil, hence the term "sinister", which is the Latin for "left".

  • @bellamovie2 If you spill the salt you have to throw some over your shoulder. It's an old superstition.

  • @Tonykomnenos

LEFT shoulder. Supposedly that's where the Devil will sneak up behind you so you throw salt into his eyes.

  • I loved this kinda cartoons, where music scores are epic

  • someone accidently hit the dislike button

  • @TheJdcarpenter1 That happens on most videos.

  • Call me a sadist, but I loved that chase between The Headless Horseman and Ichabod .... *Cryptkeeper-like laugh*

  • no shit, doc brown makes an appearance at 0:02 playing the fiddle.

and what the hell is the other guy at the far right doing

  • scared the shit outta me when i was like 4...lol

  • Probably one of the most thrilling anticipated scenes in any disney movie

  • The hands grasping the moon used to be a lot scarier...

  • There is an old belief that throwing salt over one's shoulder is good luck. When Bones saw Ichabod do this, he realized that the man was supertitious and a ghost story would scare him.

  • Sleepy Hollows horse looks like it's on Steroids!! LOOOOOOOLLLLL

  • 2:58 - 3:00 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! WAT DA HECK IS HE DOIN??!!!!?? LOL!!

i HOPE HE DON'T GO TO THE CLUB WIT DAT!! lmbo!!!!!

    Jeff Goldblum Jurrasic Park?! Ichabod?!

  • @1MJKP1

What does any of this have to do with Ichabod Crane? I like MJ. Jeff Goldblums a piece of shit

  • @mikethesmooth HOLD UP?! now i don't wanna have 2 beat anybody up!! don't be callin' him dat!!!!! Respect da man!! wat did he eva do 2 U?! how come U don't like him?!

  • @1MJKP1

he offended me with his poor acting

  • @mikethesmooth When did he eva do dat?? if u dont like him f*** it but i still like him eitha way it go! i just dont see watz wrong if you dont like his actin well thats you but i love the way he acts!

  • @1MJKP1

    Wow....

  • @mikethesmooth Now that dats ova wit, why do you like MJJ?? SOMETHING WE CAN FINALLY AGREE ON! LOL! sorry datz a natrual reaction

  • This reminds me of Beauty and the Beast especially that guy at 1:11. He is like the guy from the sanitorium.

  • @IntempestusNox I mean Insane Asylum not sanitorium. Katrina looks like Cinderella at 1:52 too.

  • Only Disney can make eating a slightly peppered egg look epic , it was like he was eating a Habenero or something. I used to watch this every Halloween when I was 8 and 9.

  • If Brom were the Headless Horseman, which other movies of Ichabod Crane make it clear that he is not, why would he think of the idea only after he saw Ichabod throw salt over his shoulder? Also, why would he tell him his secret: the Horseman's power ends at the bridge?

  • @Bifrostyful Yes trust movies and not the original tale, the tale has been twisted many times over the year. The story probably existed for a while already but Brom decided that would be the best one to use to fuck with Crane, as for the "secret"? it was again an excuse to fuck with him. He was trying to get the guy to piss his pants and run away from town, he would get past the bridge and probably keep on running.

  • @Bifrostyful he only told icabod that to scare him but he didnt relise the tail was true

  • The Real Horseman- 1. Brom Bones's horse is grey and black and the Headless Horseman's horse is all black. 2. The Headless Horseman tale existed before Brom bones was supposed to have used it killing/running off ichabot.(He MIGHT have dressed up as him to scare ichabot but i doubt it).3. Brom did not lose his head so it cannot be brom because the headless horseman still looks for his head today. Therefore the horseman is not brom he is an undead hessian soldier, head shot off by a cannon ball.

  • @CommanderJackal i agrre with you my friend..i think itd be funny if he WAS the headless horseman and chased ichabod and while chasing him he lost ichabod and the real horsemen comes in and continues the chase Xp

  • @CommanderJackal

    1. A fair point, but a dark grey horse could very vell look black in the middle of the night

    2. That Brom didn't invent the tale doesn't mean he couldn't take advantage of it in trying to scare Ichabod

    3. When dressing up as the Headless horseman you would try to disguise your head, not cut it off, and there's no indication Sleepy Hollow is still terrorised by the Headless Horseman.

not saying it must be Brom in disguise, I just don't accept your reasons for why it's not.

  • Not to mention that a normal horse can't jump so high as you can see at 8:55. Moreover if you watch at Ichabod's terrified reaction in the fourth part when he looks down the Horseman's neck, I have some doubt The Horseman was Brom Bones in disguise.

  • @eddievaliant1 It's a cartoon, dude. ANYTHING can happen.

  • @CommanderJackal About the horse, don't forget, this is in the dark of the night. And Brom could have pulled his shirt or something over his head. In fact, you can see a bulge in the front of the headless horseman's cape.

  • @CommanderJackal Your points don't hold up; aside from the fact that the horses looks the same, Brom could've easily used another horse, and your third point presupposes that Brom couldn't be the headless horseman;ergo, it begs the question. Being that the legend was well known during Brom's lifetime, he could've easily taken advantage of it and scared Ichabod away. The headless horseman even matches Brom's build and voice, and of all the characters, Brom had the most incentive.

  • @Caqui hey dont nock it, i question the whole story, this is my fave, just last yr i met annie van tassle she talked ALL ABOUT THIS STORY AND HER FAMILY!!! I KID U NOT!!!

  • @CommanderJackal Well that must have hurt. lol.

  • @CommanderJackal I thought of that too. =)

  • @CommanderJackal According to the original book, it was suggested that Brom Bones pulled this rather cruel joke on Ichabod, just as it was also suggested that Ichabod survived and ran away.

  • @CommanderJackal Yes. A German folk tale

  • @CommanderJackal Nonsense!! It has to be Brom Bones scaring him away! Seriously!

  • This song called "The Headless Horseman" reminds me of Kuroro the Vampire from Outer Space

in Jetter Mars Episode 14 in May 1977.

  • @Yugi40 I agree with you. It looks like Baum Bones doesn't want Ichabod to married Katrina in my other movie that Katrina is married to Ichabod.

  • @amycallie123 You mean the live action sleepy hollow?

  • 4:50 If I saw that in the sky at night, my balls would drop instantly...

  • I love how Gunpowder doesn't care about anything. Clippety Clo-IDGAF.

  • lol that teapot had an endless supply of tea

  • Old-School Disney, gotta love it!

  • @swingersfan new Disney should bun in hell!! Bing these back!!!

  • The raven screams "beware, beware" at 6:55 :D

  • funny they took the chase music and uesd it agien in another disney classic 10 years fater this was made lol stock music

  • Brom's song is the best part of this movie. I love Ichabod's reactions, especially when he pours tea on the cat and doesn't realize it: he thinks it's Brom's story that scared it. XD

  • Only Disney can make a song about cutting peoples heads off sound so upbeat!

  • @TheKingboo86 win

  • @TheKingboo86 Listen to Thurl Ravenscrofts version here youtube.

  • Is it just me or does Katrina look like Cinderella?? hmmmmmm
