Though could you explain to non-lithuanians what the differences are in the sounds of an e versus an e with a dot on top? same thing with the u with the lin on tip :) aciu!

It is hard to define the origin of koldūnai, because it is also a russian meal. Anyway, koldūnai is so tasty, and this grietine that u eat it with and those koldūnai are so pretty in your plate... love it.

I am doing my best to help promote Lithuania and Lithuanian culture and language. I never said I was fluent or even very good, but at least I am doing my part to promote the beautiful country of Lithuania. What have you done to make Lithuania a better place? I disagree with people judging you on your accent. Yes, you slightly have one, but people forget that its not your native language! It takes a lot of patience to learn such a rare language like lithuanian. In addition, it is almost impossible for some one foreign speak any language without an accent if you are older than 16. I'm glad there are people who are willing to spend their time and knowledge of the language that is foreign to themselves! Thank you!

@Kobriuss I never claimed to have a great accent. But if I compare my Lithuanian (having not spoken it for 5 years) to other foreigners that visit/live/work in Lithuania... I think I am not too bad. Though I like to try and help people learn some Lithuanian. If you want to make some Learn Lithuanian videos I would love to see them as would like more people to learn a bit more Lietuviskai.

I met a beautiful Lithuanian girl on holiday in Cyprus.

That was about 3 years ago.

I recently found her on FaceBook.

She has been trying to teach me a few basic Lithuanian greetings etc, but I have only seen these words written-down, & have no idea how to pronounce them.

Also, I may go & visit her next year (in Vilniaus), if any of my friends have enough money!=)
