What is the difference between the Diamond Series C1 Classic on the non-diamond series? (Is there even one?) Also, nice playing. Sounds like something I would play!
@MrPeak111 Oh my gosh, really?! it's sarcasm for me not caring what they have to say. I hardly take any comments to heart, both good and bad, on youtube cuz most people on here don't even know what they're talking about. I do appreciate when people like stuff and want to leave nice comments, but stupid comments like "you need more feel" are so annoying. It's not an attitude in response to negative comments, it's in response to stupid comments from people who don't know what they're saying.
@MrPeak111 In that case, I truly apologize. I just assumed it was like all the other immature stuff online where people tell someone to suicide without considering that many people actually do know people that did do that to themselves. My bad. :)
i got a question about your c-1. i have a problom with mine. it gets really bad feedback. like a screech noise on the neck pickup. but only high gain and volume, yours have this prob?
@chrispy961 nope. I would rarely think that to be a guitar problem and more a problem of your settings on your pedal(s) and amp, and your position to the amp. sounds to me that you already found your problem...high gain and volume...recipe for feedback.
don't worry about all the talkshit, it's not because you're not as good as SRV or hendrix or gary moore or robben ford.... that you're not good at all. youve got some nice licks and phrasing going on, OF COURSE theres place for amelioration, thats true for beginners and "virtuosos". keep up the good job man you've got more talent that most of these 40 yo talkshiters that made it nowhere.
that's not even a good blues tone, i was using a rock lead kinda tone. i have the diamond series C-1 classic and you can split the hums to single coils and you get some real nice chunk when you get some overdrive on it. just like a strat.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Please learn how to tune your instrument and once again will you please learn to play in time. if you don't you will never progress from being a sub standard guitarist.
man at first when you were just playin rythim, i was just like ok, what ever, but then around 1min you completely rocked. reminds me of vaughan, or at least some parts did. doesnt matter though, cause it was kick ass
good job man i improvise a lot but i always get stuck in 2 positions(i know the rest but im not comfortable with them) got any exercises to do or where to find sum?
wouldn't a backing track be like a metronome? and i'm very good with a metronome. drumline captain in high school. outstanding all-state soloist my senior yr. and blues is a little loose, you don't always have to play completely in time.
The big difference between playing with a metronome vs. playing with a backing track is what skill you're using... by playing with a backing track, you're basically relying on ear & playing along to somebody else's time ... by playing w/ a metronome, you're relying on your ability to keep time with a constant beat and make sure they sync. up ... in my opinion metronome work is more useful than backing track, but both have their advantages ... just my thoughts...
The song is Talk To Your Daughter, as done by Robben Ford (though this isn't the studio version I know). I agree, this guy is a bit too frantic at times for this song but I believe there is room for fast stuff in the blues genre if it's considered and not just wankin'.
Check out Robben's version... the guitar is wonderful and so melodic over the changes. You'll see why this guy likes this song to jam on. Oh, by the way, good on ya, dude. I like yer chops. :0)
oh, i don't care bout the vocals cuz this video was made strictly for guitar playing and i happened to like the backing. and you can have plenty of feel with flashy stuff. maybe you don't feel it the way i do.
Nice playing all around, some nice runs in there, although the shredding parts seemed kind of just thrown in there (But I'm not a fan of shred so I can't really say anything). How long have you been playing?
I played a lot more like you when I was younger, but after listening to Michael Brecker, Bob Berg, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Herbie Hancock and Coltrane....my mind is forever changed. Keep Jamming and listening! And I think calling the Pentatonic MINOR scale a blues scale is redundant, but whatever. I used it on my gig tonight that's for sure.
YOu obviously have some great skills man. I dont really go for the metal tone in a blues song like that, but I like the way you implemented some great thrash techique into the blues. I thought it was sweet. And Im sure it sounds a heck of a lot better in your room than recorded and playing through my laptop speakers at work.
