  • What is the difference between the Diamond Series C1 Classic on the non-diamond series? (Is there even one?) Also, nice playing. Sounds like something I would play!

  • @MrPeak111 Oh my gosh, really?! it's sarcasm for me not caring what they have to say. I hardly take any comments to heart, both good and bad, on youtube cuz most people on here don't even know what they're talking about. I do appreciate when people like stuff and want to leave nice comments, but stupid comments like "you need more feel" are so annoying. It's not an attitude in response to negative comments, it's in response to stupid comments from people who don't know what they're saying.

  • @MrPeak111 In that case, I truly apologize. I just assumed it was like all the other immature stuff online where people tell someone to suicide without considering that many people actually do know people that did do that to themselves. My bad. :)

  • Nice, I play blues heavily and I love Schecter. My 3rd choice after Fender and Gretsch. NIce guitar, and I like your style, its real unique.

  • uau .... fuck this .... im quiting playing guitar ..... for how long have you been playing ??? ...

  • @almor619 at the time of this video....4 or 5 years I think.

  • i got a question about your c-1. i have a problom with mine. it gets really bad feedback. like a screech noise on the neck pickup. but only high gain and volume, yours have this prob?

  • @chrispy961 nope. I would rarely think that to be a guitar problem and more a problem of your settings on your pedal(s) and amp, and your position to the amp. sounds to me that you already found your problem...high gain and volume...recipe for feedback.

  • @ericsoto yeah. but it does it sometimes on clean. none of my other ones do it. just my schecter

  • @chrispy961 oh well u said "only high gain and volume"... i have no clue what that might be. sorry brotha.

  • @ericsoto na its cool dude. i might buy a different pickup. and maybe that will make a difference. idk. im just gunna get a different seymore duncan

  • don't worry about all the talkshit, it's not because you're not as good as SRV or hendrix or gary moore or robben ford.... that you're not good at all. youve got some nice licks and phrasing going on, OF COURSE theres place for amelioration, thats true for beginners and "virtuosos". keep up the good job man you've got more talent that most of these 40 yo talkshiters that made it nowhere.

  • aesome!

  • I love that rhythm. Check out my improvisation in E

  • WOW!

    Amazing!!

I'd like to play like this!!!

  • sweet tone bro

  • beautiful guitar dude

  • Just saying, if I ever make it big, you will be one of my guitarists....God bless you Mr Soto!

  • Please, please tell me that those are the stock pickups in your classic.....

  • damn thats a beautiful guitar!

  • the rusty butter knife wouldn't cut? lol I liked the hell out of it! Sounded great

  • Sounds pretty frickin sweet to me. I also love the C-1 Classic. It's a great guitar

  • what;s this guitar brand

  • guitar: Schecter C-1 Classic

read the description dude, helps a lot !

  • That was incredible... who says you cant rock to a blues song :p

  • that was great!

  • I'm gonna go slit my throat with a rusty butter knife.

    jk man, that was great.

  • Such a nice guitar

  • dude this is killer! good job!

  • The hell is wrong with everyone?!

    This is amazing!

    Keep on going man. :)

    Love it.

  • Amazing guitar!

  • how much is this guitar?

  • enjoyed that improv, gj

  • You just bought me a C-1 Classic.

I wasn't sure of it's blues tone, but this isn't half bad.

  • that's not even a good blues tone, i was using a rock lead kinda tone. i have the diamond series C-1 classic and you can split the hums to single coils and you get some real nice chunk when you get some overdrive on it. just like a strat.

  • What i mean is that it has some versatility.

I had the perception that it was only good for metal and hard rock.

  • oh no man, in all honesty, this guitar is amazing. i absolutely love it. have a hard time deciding whether to play the schecter or the strat.

  • Thats valuable information.

  • Great take on the blues man, I loved it.

  • Diggin that schecter man!!!! Great guitar and great playing man. Keep it up

  • "if you don't like it...then go slit your throat with a rusty butter knife."

dude your talented. nice improv mang

  • sounded great man, thumbs up

  • Nice playing man, don't listen to the haters. Play for yourself, not for them.

  • i think u did a really good job on this. blues can be w.e. u feel it is, and i think u made it ur own. nice job man

  • it sounded always gminor pentatonic box.box sounding, learn more chops dude

  • What do you know about chops if all you can pick out is a G minor pentatonic scale? This guy is good.

  • great playing eric! nice exploding climax.

you got the feel for blues, keep it up mate :)

  • love the inlay, and good playing mate.

  • That looks like a Schecter C-1 Classic. VERY nice.

  • I love my C-1 hehe and it does look like it

  • That was great man! Glad to see you know the blues

  • nice job man

  • what kind of guitar is that? It doesn't look like anykind of strat I have ever seen but I'm not guitar guru...

  • Read the discription.

    Its it really that hard?

  • Excellent playing! How long have you been playing?

  • Very nice, but listen to a man who has been playing for over 40 years, More feeling is needed. Take it as constructive and nothing else.

  • thanks, but i promise you i "felt" every second of that...

  • Post some 40year-old skills... I'd like to see those too...

  • coming up soon, I need to get some rythm tracks recorded first. Give me a few and then I will post the link here.

  • sooo...it's been 9 months. you gonna post those 40 yr old skills or what?

  • wow over 40 years? Post a vid man i love seeing old folks playin the blues.

  • sick guitar

  • that was sick!!

rarely do i enjoy tapping in a blues solo but urs was pretty impresive

  • were u using the coil tapping???

  • Yeah, this is really great improvised, beautiful guitar too, isn't that a Pensa-Suhr Strat?

  • sweet!

  • yep your feelin it. sounds great

  • omg i wanna steal your guitar i allways wanted one of those

  • good work dude

  • dude you fuckin rock out man. Don't listen to any of these haters on here. Just keep playin

  • Glad there are so many Robben fans out there. :)

I recorded a video of this song today, when I felt like jamming.

    Keep it up, man!

  • Very cool man, are you using any modes? Sounds very Satrianish, and I know he uses a lot of modes

  • Gm pentatonic

    G blues

    G mixolydian

    G Dorian

    C mixolydian

    D mixolydian

  • lol okay.

  • Dude whatever, he has an excellent sense of time.

  • gb2gaia

  • shut up fag.

  • muy bueno arpegios algos heavy pero bueno

  • check out my blues imrpov on my acount c what u think is very dif to this

  • nice giutar.. and nice moves dude, that was incredible !!

  • thats a sick guitar

  • Is that a carvin or a warmoth custom? Nice guitar.

  • man at first when you were just playin rythim, i was just like ok, what ever, but then around 1min you completely rocked. reminds me of vaughan, or at least some parts did. doesnt matter though, cause it was kick ass

  • haha ive got that same backing track from guitar techniques mag

  • Awesome! Several people here have learned the solo note for note, but you made it your own, and it's better than RF's, IMHO! Nice job!

  • haha hell yeah, nice job man

  • the neck of your guitar is fuckin awsome

  • c'mon get a fender if u wanna play blues

  • u dont need a fender dude its all in da guitarist. nice improv man

  • pappa guitar

  • sweet. you definately have it going on.

  • where did u get the track?

  • Guitar Techniques magazine...forgot which issue...

  • Gorgeous guitar, specially the fred board. Is that a PRS?

  • nah man. everyone always thinks it a PRS lol it's a Schecter C-1 Classic Diamond Series.

  • good job man i improvise a lot but i always get stuck in 2 positions(i know the rest but im not comfortable with them) got any exercises to do or where to find sum?

  • nice improvisation my friend!

  • wot guitar is taht btw? the neck looks pretty sweet

  • very nice, reminds me of jonny lang, only better

  • like steve vai would've done.!

  • goooooood

  • You need to practice with a metronome.

  • wouldn't a backing track be like a metronome? and i'm very good with a metronome. drumline captain in high school. outstanding all-state soloist my senior yr. and blues is a little loose, you don't always have to play completely in time.

  • The big difference between playing with a metronome vs. playing with a backing track is what skill you're using... by playing with a backing track, you're basically relying on ear & playing along to somebody else's time ... by playing w/ a metronome, you're relying on your ability to keep time with a constant beat and make sure they sync. up ... in my opinion metronome work is more useful than backing track, but both have their advantages ... just my thoughts...

  • i like how u don take shit from anyone-keep doin what ur doin man

  • nice guitar + intersting mixing blues with metal sounds pretty sick

  • i love it. keep it up.

  • that guitar is sexy.. i wish i had one of those

  • Hey man, ur shit's damn good. I'll be rockin' the new tube vids in no time. Check me out.

  • wow... tocas bieeen loco...neta n_n

  • i really liked it! =D

  • ugh... not bad.. timing suffers in some points though, and sometimes the feel seems to be fake.

  • the feel seems to be fake? what do you mean? lol

  • LOVE your stile man!!

  • The song is Talk To Your Daughter, as done by Robben Ford (though this isn't the studio version I know). I agree, this guy is a bit too frantic at times for this song but I believe there is room for fast stuff in the blues genre if it's considered and not just wankin'.

Check out Robben's version... the guitar is wonderful and so melodic over the changes. You'll see why this guy likes this song to jam on. Oh, by the way, good on ya, dude. I like yer chops. :0)

  • thanks man, and i know robben is freakin awesome. his playing is so melodic. perfect note choice.

  • man that was clean, and that guitar is gorgeous

  • the best of your videos! really good man!

  • pretty sweet

  • oh man that sounds amazing!!

  • srv song?

  • its robbin ford, talk to your daughter.

  • Pretty decent, but cut a bit down on the speedy parts, doesn't fit the genre :P

    Well done.

  • i created my own genre. lol =p

  • All I saw was feel in your playin dude...dunno what these other guys are talking about. anyways, FUCKING GREAT MAN. I loved it.

  • nice work man! thougha few things... don't ever solo over vocals, it's stomps out the main guy. Also try less flash and more feel. Keep it up.

  • oh, i don't care bout the vocals cuz this video was made strictly for guitar playing and i happened to like the backing. and you can have plenty of feel with flashy stuff. maybe you don't feel it the way i do.

  • then play over something else, you dont play over vocals either way...

  • Love your style man.

  • damned good

  • tjiezus ur an amazing player how long bin playing?

  • Question

What are you playing through and how do you like those jumbo frets?

  • boss GT=6 thru a crappy little washburn bad dog amp. and i likey...

  • omg....nice blues mann..aniwae what guitar did u use

  • schecter C-1 classic diamond series. =)

  • haha omg how long did u play and did u get any lessons my god ur so good

  • Nice playing all around, some nice runs in there, although the shredding parts seemed kind of just thrown in there (But I'm not a fan of shred so I can't really say anything). How long have you been playing?

  • you kick ass at guitar man

  • I love that fret board

Very nice by the way try to flow up and down the neck a little more it doesn't all have to be up high but what ever you like just feel the song man

  • lol yeah, i know. i just get comfy and stay up there. lol

  • sweet solo man.

  • I played a lot more like you when I was younger, but after listening to Michael Brecker, Bob Berg, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Herbie Hancock and Coltrane....my mind is forever changed. Keep Jamming and listening! And I think calling the Pentatonic MINOR scale a blues scale is redundant, but whatever. I used it on my gig tonight that's for sure.

  • There ARE a lot of things....sorry bout that. You have the fire, though!

  • Good solo. Just remember that those chords are dominant 7th...there is a lot of things you can use besides those minor scales!

  • Nice man ;) what's the name of the song playing in the background?

  • I think its "talk to your daughter"

  • YOu obviously have some great skills man. I dont really go for the metal tone in a blues song like that, but I like the way you implemented some great thrash techique into the blues. I thought it was sweet. And Im sure it sounds a heck of a lot better in your room than recorded and playing through my laptop speakers at work.

  • lol yeah, i know. i'm just a rock type of guy. oh, and it's a whole lot better blasting in my room...lol

  • thats a sweet looking guitar ,wnd you give it a sweet tone thats a good combo

  • Wow, dude that was awsome awsome, keep it up.. blues are the way 2 go... awsome tone btw
