I think its about thinking about the consequences of your actions and how you should abide by the rules. The sign says no ducks down the chute but the man attempts to do it anyways. It's like littering, you're not suppose to throw your garbage just anywhere. And the film is saying that by breaking these rules, you'll destroy something...
That's my take on it anyways.
