  • What's up next! Light Hand Grenades Light Nuclear Weapons Light Sarin Nerve Gas can't wait!

  • See the south park episode "Butt Out" and realize that these campaigns use just as much bullshit propaganda as the tobacco companies do (probably even more so now that there is almost a complete ban on smoking advertisements). Its funny too that this nigger has never heard of rubber bullets (which are bullets that are designed not to kill) that riot squads use. He must have been taken down by the riot hose instead haha. its like DARE: "To teach kids to think for themselves" lol what a joke.

  • @njb2012 Next time you try to prove a point, note that it helps when you abstain from using oppresive/harmful language. It just makes you look like an idiot.

  • I think this add is trying to say that the people who work for truth don't know that much about guns and ammo. But we'll try to make an analogy to prove a point.

  • actually you can get less powerful bullets. just like less powerful cigarettes.

both are still deadly, and neither claims not to be so i dont know what this ad is trying to say.

  • Ahah Derrick is from TV Carnage.

  • FIRESTORM TO PURIFY

  • bad audio!

  • haha i remember seeing this one day and at the end it said whadafuxup now I always say it -.-

  • these people have no life they must have been smoking somthing before filming this ass fucking morons

  • The standard "full metal jacket" round used by the military, especially the Winchester .223 for the M16, is designed primarily to wound, not to kill. The Geneva Convention prohibits the use of more dangerous rounds such as hollowpoints that would actually kill enemy soldiers more easily. This is specifically because the more are wounded, the more have to take care of them, weakening the other side. So there ARE "light" bullets. It just doesn't seem that way to the uninformed.

  • cool info!

  • @mxdm the .233 or properly the 5.56 mm round is steel cored and copper jacketed. That lets it slip through the Geneva convention. But the truth is, its very high velocity and long shape cause it to fragment in 2/3rds of the people it hits at close range and tumbles at long range. It violates the spirit of the convention while complying with the letter. The Russians where accused of violating the convention when they introduced their copy the 5.64mm. Look it up.

  • @freakofthewest cool story bro. I never argued that bullets are safe.

  • @mxdm ya the ad makes a great point

  • @ardrhi Yea, very cool! Thanks ardrhi

  • hey heres an idea lets sue the gun makers when a kid shoots up a school. they made the gun right? so they must be responsible. same thing you people think of the tobacco companies isnt it?

  • hahahahaha u think theyre responsible?! hahahaha, maybe the kid stole the gun from a guy which bought it ? ...

  • two words: epic fail

  • so there saying smokers are retards, thats clever lol.

  • This dude in these commercials...i f^cking swear. I understand the risks involved with smoking, but to treat smokers like out-of-touch retards? And address the public with these pandering, condescending attempts at wit? Seriously, pretty much everything about this guy tells me he really needs to get smacked in the face by a complete stranger. You cannot adopt a lifestyle of childish, petulant arrogance and pass is off as being cute and clever while hiding behind the shield of a "just cause".

  • You're completely right: they do feel less satisfying, and I can't stand them. I'm not supporting cigarettes, but I'm also not supporting ignorance.

Btw, I would try not to raise the level of insults in an argument- it doesn't persuade people and just makes them automatically want to retaliate against your argument. But thanks for sticking up for what you believe in :)

  • in any case,

cigars are alot safer to smoke than cigarettes

  • not as enjoying though :D

  • @mxdm I prefer to smoke bullets.

  • Idiots. Everybody knows that light cigarettes are just as dangerous as regular cigarettes. The smoke is just less heavy.

Do the truth people just assume that everyone is stupid? Who the hell hasn't heard of an ultra light?

  • THANK YOU.

I can't believe there aren't more people like us commenting on this. It's ridiculous that taking a step backward in logic is being praised as "clever."

Keep educating people that these arguments are entirely irrelevant to the real concerns about vice.

  • i'm definately buying a gun

    and probably some smokes

    thank you truth ad

  • theyre called lights because they put holes in the filter so you cant take as much in on one drag so you dont get as much smoke, therefore, less tobacco

  • Bullshit. You know where they put your precious filter holes? Where you holding the fucking cigarette! As in, the filters are useless because your fingers are covering the holes!

  • hahahahaha thats terrible logic. i dont smoke lights because of the holes. they definitely restrict intake

  • Um, I although I am very anti smoking, you can buy "light" bullets. They're called "Light target load bullets."

  • or you could just buy rubber bullets

  • which actually ricochet and expand more in bodies, thus are more hurtful

  • I like these truth commercials a lot better than the musical ones. These ones are cool.

  • yea, I have to agree with ya.

  • i don't smoke, i don't want to smoke, but everytime i see one of these comercials i want to light one up,smoke it,and put it out on that realying guys forehead after i've dowsed him in gasoline.

  • "We all know smoking is bad..." Really? If we know the harms of smoking then why do we continue to do it? Stop wasting money on cigarettes and you'll have more for gas-oooh but trade your suv in for a bike and you'll save a ton of money! But life is all about personal choice and it's your right to decide for yourselves.

  • cigarette smoking is usually a result of nicotine addiction.

  • Stupid series of ads. Obnoxious, annoying, and insults our intelligence. The message is overshadowed by this. Makes me almost want to take up smoking...

  • Yeah, because a BB gun is TOTALLY as lethal as a 12 gauge or M16. Right. Flawless logic there. The Truth at least seemed semi-credible when they were spewing exaggerated facts that don't take into account other factors, such as regular pollution (people in L.A. and Detroitgetting lung cancer? MUST BE SMOKING THAT DID IT!) This commercial just made me realize just how stupid them and these anti-smoking dips are. Blatant propaganda, and not even the intelligent kind. Stalin would be ASHAMED.

  • Hey, check out Derrick Beckles on our new channel: Sly-fi

  • That's a funny ad. I hear people say "we know smoking is bad" well for all of you that don't realize--many people, many children start smoking every day because they don't realize the dangers associated with it. I think we need to be creative so fewer people pay to take their own life away, by purchasing these murderous tobacco products.

  • I'm strait edge, but I gotta say: The only reason that guy's doing these ads is because the cool kids in highschool who smoked beat his sorry ass until he closely resembled a shaved baboon!

  • we all know smoking is bad.

why dont they make a video on something we should and dont know.

    and call it truth.

  • I hate this guy! I'm not a smoker but this guy makes me want to light up! He looks like Tom Morello's retarded cousin! What a Stupid ad, every knows cigarettes are harmful, what makes him think he's got a new spin on it?

  • funny? he makes me wanna shoot people.

  • id be so annoyyed if some dude came into my store and started telling me about the dangers of ciggerates.

  • I hear ya there. Like said: the kids who beat his sorry ass in high shool smoked.

  • i just found out bullets do come in lights believe it or not.

  • about these ads and the company that produces them: Demagogues may make use of logical fallacies, though persuasion may require no use of logic. While it may not rely heavily upon outright lies, the use of half-truths, omissions, and distortions are what define demagogy — it is, in essence, giving bad-faith arguments for the purpose of political gain.

  • I was very, very sad to learn that this video wasn't a joke.

Truth is a biased company. That's all there is to it. Whether or not you choose to smoke we should all be able to agree that Truth's ads suck. Seriously, this ad makes me want to start smoking.

  • u know, thats exactly wat my bro said. lol!

  • Smoking is bad for your and those around you but these commercials could use a better way of doing it. I'd rather they educate us, intelligently, about the health risks, rather that use cheap marketing ploys, villification, half truth, incomplete information, and propaganda-type methods that insult our intelligence. Almost makes me want to smoke just to defy these commercials...I won't though, not because some 'tobacco executive is evil' but because I know smoking is unhealthy.

  • look, there may be bullets that are designed to wound, but like you said, they are still harmful, and if you listen to ALL of the guys argument he says that they are labeled Lights and Ultra lights, even though they are addicting and harmful. I am sure everyone would agree that that no matter what type of cigarette you smoke it IS in fact harmful. So he has complete validity in saying what he said.

  • What I hate is when people are against the same things as I am but make morons of themselves while trying to argue the point.

All of these commercials are moronic and contain so many logical fallacies. Non sequitur, begging the question, false dichotomy, just plain untrue premises, etc.

  • well said. bravo!

  • it's called a straw man argument. You present a weak argument of your opposition. People are then persuaded into believing the opposing view.

  • i couldn't agree with u more. makes u wonder if this fool ever gotten his kicked, just by pulling some stupid ass stunt 2 prove a point that has nothing 2 do with smoking.

  • yes, this guy IS pathetic. These ads use half-formed logic and hide the whole truth, hoping we're stupid enough to follow. These commercials cannot even get their facts straight. In fact, bullets, althogh harmful, DO come in different forms, some lethal, some designed to wound, and incapacitate...'light' versions, if you will. This guy just ruined his arguement just by opening his mouth. These 'Truth' ads are really 'Half-Truth'.....

  • this guy is pathetic bullets have nothin to do with cigarettes so why is he implying it.

  • he basically trying 2 tie bullets in with cigarettes just becuz they both can kill, when the commercial has nothing 2 do with bullets. its a horrible anti-smoking ad.

  • Looks like the guy from the Mars Volta

  • So true.
