  • Ask a christian who their savior is, they answer. Ask a Muslim who the one true profit is, they answer. Ask a Scientologist who the galactic emperor is, they sue you.

  • if this is against someone's beliefs then they should not say bad things against it or ask the same question that they have said not to say again, no matter what there beliefs.

  • Hold on, scientology isnt a cult or scam! mr hubbard did find some truth and he decided to help ppl thru it. but the followers may have been corupted like any other church.....but essence of this church is indeed good and has helped many ppl, i have been witnessed to that!

  • When you're real and honest there's NOTHING that can put you in a bad situation

  • Scientology is just a self-help scam on an industrial scale. It's not a religion, or a cult, it's a business that dupes people into giving away money using various bait and switch tactics of the form: "give us another $100 and we'll tell you the secrets of the universe".

It's not any more significant than say... Paul McKenna, it's just more successful. Part of their marketing strategy is to make it appear as if it's more important than it actually is.

  • I've always considered Bashir professional despite what other MJ fans say.

  • Journalist was professional and poised unlike the guest who is pompous, arrogant and "offensive".

  • SCIENTOLOGY IS A LOAD OF SHIT. IT'S JUST.. INDESCRIBABLE HOW THEY SEEM TO BE ASHAMED OF THEIR OWN RELIGION. I'm going to walk out if I tell someone I'm a Catholic and they ask me if I believe that Jesus walked on water and came back to life after dying for m sins. Oh, how rude! You can find that on the internet.

He's not a Scientologist. That man in the interview, everyone that does not answer those questions, are liars looking for media attention. That's your answer to his stupidity.

  • coward

  • Oh . . yeah.

  • the interviewer did a really good job

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    ZENU!

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Da tuck is his problem

  • These scientologists are a load of sanctimonious disgusting little cretins. Bastards

  • Religious bigot panic

  • Well Done for walking out.

You shouldn't accept an interview with a disgusting person who is known for misleading questions just to gain popularity and who thrives on creating controversy regardless of the damage he does to the people he interviews.

  • Scientology is a religion for the rich..I cant afford to be in this religion : 0 ( at least most other religions want to embrace the poor.

  • first give him and his cult, a couple million dollars and then ask the question again LOL you cant expect him to give away the crappy ending to a bullshit story for free,

  • Scientology is fucked up but the journalist was a dick.

  • @MajBlood How was he a dick? Why isn't a journalist allowed to even ask something about his own beliefs?

  • zeno and the intergalatic emperor - you couldnt make it up - oh yeah they did

  • i had my hand on my face the whole time. i saw it coming. i knew it was coming. i just couldn't stop it.

  • Scientology is WEIRD!

  • YES Bashir was unprofessional & rude by asking a question this guy found offensive but YES, L. Ron Hubbard actually believed in Xenu. He made many public speeches about "space opera" and aliens battling one another in pre-human earth life. Hubbard was a SCIENCE FICTION FANTASY novelist. I wouldn't put faith, donate money or belong to a church founded by a writer with a crazy imagination most likely inspired by drug hallucinations. He even said "I want to start my own religion for MONEY."

  • Comment removed

  • typical religous nutjob

  • According to Wiki, the story is thus, "Xenu also spelled Xemu, was, according to the founder of Scientology and science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who, 75 million years ago, brought billions[4][5] of his people to Earth in a DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes and killed them using hydrogen bombs."

Sounds like a perfectly good question to me

  • LMAO Tommy is such a dick...

  • RAGE QUIT!!

  • At least he didn't call him a nigger.

  • One thing that comes out of any interview with scientologists is that they still seem to have the idea that if they walk out of the interview or accuse the interviewer, such as Matt Lauer being "glib", that theyhave somehow proved a point. Well, they have but I doubt if they intended to make the world think that their so-called "religion" is anything more than a tax scam.

  • All religions are stupid, Christians believe a dude walked on water and rose from the dead, if they want to believe in aliens that live in volcanoes I could care less, I care about the other stuff Scientologists do like "fair game" and kidnapping.

  • @starkweather444 Then in like manner you should also [care about] or at least respect the fact that this Man who walked on water taught us to love unconditionally.

  • Tommy David = sad little douche. Of course they believe that stuff. Or at least, they're supposed to, if they believe in Hubbard. It's OT III.

  • @kylehudson00 I doubt he personally believes it.

All of this "religion or cult" stuff obscures what Scientology really is. It's essentially the classic self help scam taken to its logical extreme - people pay subscriptions, as in any other self help scam, and the few at the top are nothing more than very good (and now very rich) snake oil salesmen.

  • What's the harm in Scientology verbalizing the rationalization that Xenu and the volcano are "useful metaphors" for the great quest of all humanity to rid themselves of harmful, hateful negativity and spiritual depressives? Say "metaphor" if mythology is too strong and too offensive!

  • Now walk it out.

  • twat

  • @GTnumber1 : actually my judgement of stupidity is quite well informed. in fact, it's not only stupidity it's insanity to believe in delusions aka religions. they have caused billions to suffer and die. that's not only stupid, insane, but inhumane.. if you believe your hallucinations, you're insane.

it's not thinkers like me that make religions look bad, it's the people that practice them and kill and harm countless others that are insane. you're probably one of them, no doubt

  • WATCH THIS VIDEO!!! SOOOOOOO CREEPY!

    youtube.com/watch?v=ZDMEt4eIqYQ&feature=related

  • youtube.com/watch?v=ZDMEt4eIqYQ&feature=related

  • If Jesus came back from the dead... Does that make him a ZOMBIE??

  • I worked for the Church of Scientology in SF 12 years ago. I was unpaid after a month of work, and was told bogus excuses. Being young and naive, I believed them until I got fed up and filed a claim with the Department of Labor. I received a check for $1000 and won by default because they failed to respond or attend the court hearing. All claims of this organization being a huge Ponzi scheme are correct.

  • xenu was triflin!

  • Xenu burrying people in volcanoes? PSH! We believe in talking snakes a woman being created out of ribs, you know..logical stuff.

  • Class

  • See when he said "It's is in violation of my religious beliefs" that seems to be the tune all religions play when questioned about their ridiculous beliefs.

  • stupid....uts a cult...is this tom cruises boyfreind...

  • Tommy Davis is such a prissy bitch!

  • LOL amazing journalist

    hahaha

  • Jesus Christ would answer anything without taking offence !! Anybody who can't answer a straight question has something 2 hide

  • Say what you want about Bashir; but first off, you have to admit that it's obvious this Davis guy is only there to promote Scientology, not answer tough questions about it. Granted, he clearly didn't know beforehand where Bashir was gonna go with his questions, but when the line of inquiry got uncomfy, he childishly dropped the mic on the floor before walking off. Not the most gracious or genteel way of ending an interview. Doesn't say much for him or Scientology.

  • the reporter was so wrong for that he told him 2xs not to ask that.... it was still funny though lolol

  • lol his fucking brainwashed

  • this "reporter" has no respect for the beliefs of this guy. who cares if you all think he is a nut job? so do i. but he asked the reporter to stay away from that topic. the reporter didnt, so adios.

  • Oh God, give me a fucking break. First of all, I'm tired of everyone using the word "fundamentally" like it makes them sound so much more intellectual. It's "fundamentally" stupid to keep usign that word. Secondly, what's so offensive about these questions? It's a simple yes or no question. Is he offended because they do believe in that crap? It's not like Martin Bashir is using cuss words. They should call the religion or cult WALKOUTOLIGY.....

  • He walked out.

    Good.

I read a book, 'the Book', on scientology many, many years ago.

Found it to be the most DISGUSTING book I ever read.

    It was shocking.

How stupid one has to be to sign up for that?

    No offence, TomCat.

  • He finds scientology offensive? good, me too.

  • LOL

  • fuck that paki martin bashir

  • Who's this offensive character ?? Fuck Tommy Davis , and Fuck Scientology !!

  • This is what you need to do with insane pants on head crazy people like scientologists..put it in their face, shame them and make them eat shit.

  • wow, something doesn't seem right/rite if you won't go to bat for your religion. sure as a catholic i get made fun of for worshiping statues and priest molesting kids. i face the questions and answer to my best ability instead of envoking religion to say "no comment". why the stonewalling? Afraid of mockery after some well known members poke fun of other theologies? take your medicine otherwise your cowards.

  • Them scientologists are a weird bunch

  • Gotta love the reporter's expression on the very last second of the video.

So yeah. I'm sure a lot of you saw the South Park "Scientology" episode. As for this guy, he could have done a great "service" for his system ideas by simply setting the record straight, but I wonder if Scientologists are just more "secretive" about their ideas, or what. It's odd. Why not "educate" the rest of us, even though we probably really don't want to hear it, instead of running from us? :-\

  • Mr Davis, you are abhorrent and a liar. I know of no other religion that cannot and will not answer questions. Mr Bashir's question is factual, admit to it. You are a ponzi scheme in the guse of a religion.

  • Tommy Davis, the spokesperson for scientology who can't speak about scientology. Scientology logic ladies and gentlemen !

  • this guy has an adolf hitler haircut and has the same funny walk

  • What an angry person this Tommy Davis. I have never seen him happy about anything. Every interview he is in he is angry.

  • its because he is a repressed paedophile

  • tommy davies is a moron, he believes that he is some sort of CIA style figure!!!!

    brainwashed fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Truth is, Bashir was being a jerk. He knew he wouldn't answer the question, but kept asking anyway. In a way, I think he was hoping for that response.

  • It's called freedom of mobility and freedom of religion.

  • lol why didn't he just fucking say 'no' if it's not true the stupid alien cock sucker. Nanu Nanu !!!!!!

  • He can't say no directly because it is true.

Hence he avoids the question by saying it is an offensive question

  • Obvious troll interviewer is obvious and succesful xD

  • aaand CUT!

  • Same thing happens if you start asking too difficult questions from Jehovah witnesses. I suppose it'll happen with pretty much every religion...

  • This guy is no different than any other brain washed religious follower. All religion is pathetic.

  • If you're an idiot, religion is pathetic. If you have the ability to read between the lines, you might actually learn something. However, this interviewee is pathetic and the people who use religion to bolster their ideas of why others should be killed are pathetic.

  • "people who use religion to bolster their ideas of why others should be killed are pathetic"

According to your own words, religion is comprised of idiots. All major religions have been used to justify genocide.

    Belief is overrated.

  • Scientology is no different from Christianity. Both are cults.

  • Umm. Not really. Scientology are a bunch of crazies. I know christians that are level headed and kind.

  • Christianity doesn't scam people out of their house and home. Scientology does.

  • @BTTHEBAND You are overgeneralizing about religious people. If you disagree with religion in general then that is your right. But don't put all religious people in the same catagory as this guy. All you do is make yourself look like a jerk in my opinion.

  • @osirus5891 I think organized religion is the worst evil of the world. It justifies war and has killed more people than natural causes ever will in the history of humanity. So I don't think BTTHEBAND sounds like a jerk, he speaks the truth. Of course not all people who follow religion are extremists, but religion in itself is a joke and an unparalleled evil of the world.

  • @gdub6933 I disagree. Yes there are many evil things done in the name of religion but that shouldn't condemn religion as an evil. There are many benevolent things done by people who are following their religious beliefs. I see people doing charities, building homes, providing food, water, medical supplies and education, teaching a moral way of life that stays away from crime and promotes decency and kindness. When religion drives people to do these things it is not pathetic or evil.

  • @osirus5891 That's true, got to take the good with the bad. But I don't see scientologists doing any of these things. All I see them do is steal peoples money and get offended when you ask them how they can believe in such a stupid idea while illegally stalking and blackmailing dissidents.

  • @BTTHEBAND

I see alot of statements like this that always leave out an important part... Humans are naturally passionate beings as we're made to be. The problem is people take those passions and strong idea's and apply them to things that shouldn't be. In this case its the PEOPLE that make the religion not the other way around. While on the subject, I can say the reason you see greedy churches for example is the persons own greed, if they practiced the actual faith they wouldn't behave as such

  • @BTTHEBAND methinks thou dost protest overmuch. Everyone has their religion. Some people's religion is prayer, some is drinking, to some it's drugs, to some it's going on religious videos on Youtube and downing religion. :(

  • @DWR57785 Someones been watching too much Oz...

  • @BTTHEBAND funnily enough, never seen it, so I don't know how that pertains to our discussion?

  • its so aperent that this cult like all others are in there last days wake up people

  • I'm a Christian, and I believe that a single entity or consciousness, God, created the universe, and that this God took human form and walked among us, died and rose again. This might sound absolutely ridiculous to some, but if someone asked me if I believed it, even if I thought they were mocking me, I would still have enough conviction to say yes! Even if those beliefs are falsies and scientologists don't actually believe that, then he should have just said so. Set the record straight.

  • I like that L. Ron Hubbard said "I'd like to start a religion. That's where the money is." Just a couple years before publishing Dianetics.

  • WTF kind of religion gets offended when its followers are asked what they believe? He feigns righteous indignation and storms out like he's the victim. Tell me what you believe or I'll just assume that eventually Scientologists are told by their leaders that this Xenu crap is used to draw morons in, and it's all really just a big pyramid scheme (if you donate enough $ to their "church").

The beauty is that they get to nail themselves to the cross and play victim anytime people ask questions.

  • FEGE JÄVEL!

  • "This universe has long been looking for new ways to make slaves. Well, we've got some new ways to make slaves here." L. Ron Hubbard, PDC tape #20 "Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic", December 6 1952)

  • Poor Tommy. He must hallucinate with Xenu. I almost feel sorry for him. But then I remember that Rondroids doesn't feel compassion for anyone, so, maybe they don't deserve it.

"Because what your doing now is bla bla bla..."

He gave a similar response to Nathan Baca. Tommy Davis's speech is limited. He always evades the questions with the same arguments. His low level of communication is evident: he doesn't assimilate that in the real world democracy exists, and everyone can ask anything.

  • It's also clear his low tolerance. He could be very explosive, but he's fundamentally insecure. And we discovered that Tommy Davis has a restimulator or "button": Xenu. It doesn't suppose that an advanced Scilon is free of his Reactive Bank? Obviously he doesn't got over the R6 Incident and he's unable to confront it.

Tommy Davis, another great example that the "tech" doesn't work.

  • Way to go, Tommy-boy! Not at all a cultish impression for the audience.

  • Offensive would be calling him a crackpot, not asking him does he belive what people say on the internet. Idiot (offense intended). Well it is offensive to me for someone to preach stupidity, and guess what? I'm gonna call you out on it. You sir, are a complete wacko with no sence of dignity, who underestimates the inteligence of others(I guess not all by looking at number of members), and have no hope of ever being taken up seriously by anyone with their faculties accounted for.

  • both of them are twats...scientology is alien gays and bashir is an alien!

  • Good job Bashir. I guess that's a "yes" on his part... he had a perfect opportunity to deny it, and didn't.

    ;D

  • when is everyone going to realise that it was all just a joke that got out of hand?

  • If there are no xenu and volcanoes, then why is there a volcano on the cover of DIANETICS. Its a coincidence you know!!

  • lol scientologists are so stupid i hope for their sake they rediscover jesus in their lives before the day they die because this xenu nonsense won't get them to heaven

  • It is a common misconception to believe people join Scientology because of the doctrine of Xenu. People actually come to Scientology hoping for increased intelligence, improved personality, and help in dealing with personal problems (as it advertises itself as a self-help philosophy). Later, if they had paid enough, they learn a system of beliefs based on science fiction stories, infestations of alien spirits and exploding volcanos.

This is the bait-and-switch aspect of the scheme.

  • Comment removed

  • Martin Bashir - legend!

  • Note that he never denies that as a belief. He states that it is fundamentally offensive, and that his religion prevents him from talking about it.

  • Lmao

  • I hate scientology because of how evil it is.

I am very willing to participate in any protest of this murderous organization.

  • I don't know, I think Scientology is bullshit, but if someone insisted on asking me something that I thought was a stupid fucking question, then I would probably walk out too. I think the reporter should have just changed the question, perhaps ask what ARE their beliefs regarding the origins of man.

  • That's what happens when you press a cult member to explain what he really believes, rather than explain what he wants you to believe he believes.

  • @JPOnion Righto!

  • scientology is fucking stupid as fuck but so are all other religions. equally stupid. christianity, islam, judaism, hinduism, etc. all equally stupid. some of them are just funnier than others.

  • Maybe, but its the bait and switch and the destructive official policies the Church of Scientology holds that makes it differ from other religions. If you go to any other religion and ask what theyre all about theyll tell you. Free of charge. However, in Scientology you dont really learn what the religion is about until youve already invested some 300,000 US dollars into it.

In order for consumers to make a reasoned choice they must have the facts on what they are buying.

  • @lucian303 Yeah damn right lucian, FUCK ALL RELIGIONS AND FUCK'N STUPID CULTS FOR THAT MATTER !! TO HELL WITH ALL THOSE CONCEITED GUYS WHO THINKS THEY'RE SPECIAL AND TRY TO LECTURE US WITH THIS RELIGIOUS NONSENSE, OR PERSONAL SET OF MOTHERFUCKIN' VALUE !!

  • @lucian303

I know a couple of them. Yo, they dont think much of me I can tell you

  • @lucian303 Actually the only thing that's "stupid" here is you because you clearly show that you're forming your own conclusions and judgments on topics and issues that you don't understand..Religions and scientology are not "stupid"..It's "know-it-all" PEOPLE that twist and bend simple facts and teachings for their own selfish self righteous reasons that makes religions and scientology look bad, after which stupid people like you become confused and form your own wrong conclusions.

  • @lucian303 somewhat true, but Scientology is a provable brainwashing organisation

  • Then deny it asshole

    DENY IT!

You can't, because it's true. You believe this bullshit, but you don't want to deter potential victims - sorry, converts.

You'll be thoroughly brainwashed by the time they tell you your full of aliens and all the Xenu shit.

All good news for scientology's lawyers, They'll be doing overtime trying to get this removed.

  • Scientologists wacko beliefs are well-documented, even in court documents, not to mention the jillions of testimonies from ex-members.

  • Bzzz, wrong. L. Ron Hubbard was a science fiction writer, not a self help writer.

  • "Scientologists believe that most human problems can be traced to lingering spirits of an extraterrestrial people massacred by their ruler, Xenu, over 75 million years ago. These spirits attach themselves by "clusters" to individuals in the contemporary world, causing spiritual harm and negatively influencing the lives of their hosts."

    - Judge Leonie Brinkema; US DISTRICT COURT, EASTERN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA, Alexandria Division, Civil Action No 95-1107-A

  • Two of the worst humans god has ever shit out.
