'48 Hours' correspondent Harold Dow dies at 62 Dow died suddenly Saturday morning in New Jersey, network spokeswoman Louise Bashi said. "Insatiably curious, he was happiest when he was on the road deep into a story," Susan Zirinsky, executive producer of 48 Hours Mystery, said in a statement. "It was his humanity, which was felt by everyone he encountered, even in his toughest interviews, that truly defined the greatness of his work. He was the most selfless man I have known."
I was shocked and saddened to hear about his passing. He made a significant contribution to investigative journalism. He was a big part of what made 48 Hours so special. It's hard to picture it continuing as successfully without him
god bless you brother. you broke new ground in journalism. you did not try and manipulate the people you interviewed. wish others came close to your standard. you will be missed....
155,000 people die each day.... yet the cockmunchers of the planet make the news. Who cares... babys die in dumpster with no specials like this. Boo this crap..
It seems like all the good corespondents for CBS are either dying off or retiring due to old age.

Definitely a first rate reporter. Quiet, professional all the way, unlike so many of today's fools.

Harold Dow was my next door neighbor. He passed away from a sudden asthma attack. He was truly a great person.
