Nope, the Zune does not have a retina display, that would be because the retina display is a name trademarked by Apple. If the Zune came out tomorrow, then yes, it would probably have a camera with 720p HD recording. Have fun with that by the way, because it is totally necessary to video chat only on Wi-Fi on a PMP.

I'm not sure if you own this sweet ass machine but it's really nice to watch movies and play music on. If you pay for music (idiot) its 14$ a month. Anything else hands on ?

Like you said, Zune's video and picture quality can't be matched by the iPod, which is a Portable Media Player, not a mini-computer. I own a ZuneHD, and an iPod touch 4th gen.

Although the iPod touch is superior to the ZuneHD in some areas, the ZuneHD is superior to the iPod touch in some areas. Including sound quality, which is much better on the Zune.

Keep an open mind about things.

They each do things better than each other. It just matters what you want your PMP to do for you.

@FRESzHP All approved apps are downloadable through the marketplace. you can also download apps straight from marketplace on the zune itself something the "uTouch" cant do. But if you are a programmer you can downlaod some tools and learn how to make your own games for it.

I'm about to get a Zune HD for Christmas. I know little to nothing about the software, except what I've gleaned from the questions I've asked on Yahoo or seen on some forums. Ask me anything about PSP software, and I'll answer anything. Here it goes:

1. Is any special program required to run homebrew apps?

2. Are there any problems with running them, other than the occasional crash/freeze I would expect?

1- You just need to download 3 small programs to your PC to be able to transfer apps to the ZuneHD

2-Nope, The Zune does restarts when you close the custom App... its for the security of your Zune... You don't want evil software doing damage to it and its not annoying at all... Zune loads pretty fast.

3- Yes but some of them refuse to release because they don't want to give it for free.

It's caused by all 3rd party developed apps on the Zune HD, because Microsoft officially doesn't support them and for safety and security reasons you have to restart. I don't the exact reason, but Googling helps.

go into the app menu and press and hold the app for a couple of seconds, it will give you the option to either delete the app or pin it to your favorites. hope this helps
