I bought this case about a month ago. If anyone is looking for a very nice mid tower case with a good price, this is a great buy. Has great space, and good airflow (although I would recommend upgrading the stock fans for better cooling). Has plenty of room, and my large Corsair A70 cooler fits just fine. Cable management is very doable, you just have to be patient and route the cables the right way. I give the case a solid 9/10.
@KompanyCommands Unless you do have a tendency to run over 20 apps at a time, there is absolutely NO reason to get 16GB of RAM. Get 4-8GB. I can't think of any apps that can really use all that. Even the CS5.5 suite can only use like 6GB of it. And that's still 2GB left for other apps. Use that extra money to either get a better motherboard, like a Gigabyte or an ASUS, or upgrade your CPU cooler to a Noctua or a Megahalems. You really can't go wrong with the other stuff though.
@KompanyCommands i would definitively go with an 800watt power supply, 650watts is marginal for a dual graphics card setup, even if they are not high end thirsty GPU's. the build looks great, just get a higher wattage psu (preferably corsair, coolermaster, thermaltake :P)
The fans ain't amazingly quiet, but i bought a scythe Kaze Master Ace and leave the fans at about 50-60% That way you can barely hear them, and you still get a nice amount of air passing through ;)
Best case i have ever had in my life! it's a beast!!
I wanted to buy this case but since i couldn't find it anywhere on stock (and no word of availability either) i settled with a CM 690 II. I'm not sad but i'm regreting a bit, this case had way more style, better features and 4 stock fans....
You need some common sense above all, i don't have this case but i suggest 2 solutions: 1. Take the mobo off, route the cable through the hole and keep it out of the way with ducktape or something, install mobo back and be happy. 2. Buy a 8 pin CPU cable extension and route the cable through the upper hole on the far right of the motherboard tray..
@kalimul Dont worry I have common sense and Ive tried everything except the extension which im going to get next week. BTW the motherboard isnt blocking the hole at all its the metal coming off the top that the side panel latches onto
If the case itself is blocking the 8 pin plug, just buy a 8 pin CPU cable extension that has a breakable 8 pin (4+4 pin) male plug. I'm pretty sure it will fit splitted in 2 x 4 pin and you can reattach them after it goes through the hole. Good luck.
FYI everyone, if you think you need a full-size tower for cooling + space, you don't. I've got a full size ATX mobo, two 11 inch long Ati 5870's in crossfire, a HUGE 120mm CPU heatsink, 1000watt PSU and 4hdd's. Stock fans (included) keep everything running cool (AMD 1090t @ 3.8ghz under 50c!!!). Its a great case, and looks fab!
@heffyg101 while i dont have this case i have to say that 50c is not a good temp. if its ur full load temp then its ok but not good or excellent. and if thats ur idle temp then thats a horrible temp to run and i would suggest u get a better cpu fan or case. my 1100t running at 4.0ghz is around 35-40c full load and i have a simple apviea old style case with 4 120mm fans and a corsair v8 cpu fan. temperatures 50 and 50c+ will seriously reduce the lifetime of the cpu.
@wendigorgc yes,i have two ati 5870's in this case. top card could be even longer, and use some of the dvd drive space. second card would hit the HDD cage after 11".
In the end of this Vid the HDD drops out of it's cage. I have same problem, it just won't sit tight. Same is true when i've inserted the cage into the whole unit (the WHOLE case). Can anyone help me or even put up a Vid how to do it properly?
@olafreinhardweyer just use screws or cable tie it in place. I have 4 drives in the cage, you need to put a fair bit of pressure on them to snap the plastic tabs in place. give it one more go, then try an alternative method.
@heffyg101 HI HAD IT! Enough is enough. The moment in snap the HD Cages into the case, the HD sits no longer tight in it's indivdual cage (the one you can take out). Using the screw or sliding that slide on the left side of the whole Lancool HD Unit has now effect whatsoever, hell i can't screw that screw in. I give it one more try tomorrow. After that i will take big fat hammer and smash that damned thing because i certainly won't inflict this stupid thing on someone else
@Doobadoobas That is a piss poor explanation for what they said. What they said makes literally zero sense. They either missed a few words for that sentence or they have no idea what they're talking about. And given their history, I'd go with the former.
@ziianHD Definitely the K62. Lancool is owned by Lian Li who has pwned the case market for years. Personally, I think Lian Li makes the highest quality cases on the market and always presents a premium quality for their premium price.
@deathflyer10 You got to be kidding...HAF- 922 has good airflow but its just damn ugly/crap design(thats why I never bought)...My K62 pretty much has almost the same airflow
Better cable management, more fans to start off with, side window, rotatable HDD cage, hands-down the best toolless implementation, better build quality.
If you're planning to watercool however, go with CM 690.

You should overclock your graphics card. You just need to tweak some simple settings, and you will get a huge boost in the quality, and the speed of your games! Get the guide which tells you how to do it, 100% free, 100% safe from:
I have read that all 4 of the case fans use a 3 pin connector. The motherboard I'm purchasing with the case only has 2 of those (ASUS Sabertooth). Thanks!
HardwareCanucks just to let you know a dual 140mm radiator will fit were the blue 140 fans are posistioned just remove the fans fit the 140s between the gap of the mobo and top the rad im using is a HW Labs stealth 280.i can link you to a picture if you need it :D great video btw its wat made me buy the case ages ago.
Just 1 140mm intake Fan but 3 exhaust Fans with 2x 140mm? Um ok that will definitly lead to "underpressure" in the case, means that the exhaust fans will suck more air through every rift and hole that is in the case then the intake fan will shove in. In my case I got almost the same thing. If I turn the rpm's of the exhaust on full the air gets sucked through the the mesh near the pci brackets (wich is covered on this case?) and thats not how it should work
@dharkbizkit Could always get the optional side panel with 2x 140mm and mount an additional 120mm in the front drive bays with a simple HDD/fan combo.
@sprig9an007 i just read that you have bought it. I am thinking of buying this case. If i buy a 140x280 radiator, could it fit on the top inside the case? Or is there not enough room because of the motherboard?
Great review as always but I know plenty of people who water cool with the k62. I plan to myself with mine by mounting it on the back with a rad box from swiftech, something you guys left out. I myself am going to use the swiftech mcr320-drive which has the rad, res, and pump built into one to save myself space, but it is also possible to take out the hard drive cage and use that area for a pump.
Overall, very nice review though. I love hwc for reviews, you guys always do an excellent job.
@piterkub Unless you have a super thin rad, I don't think it will fit, the cover is pretty much flush with the fans, so it would need to be thinner than a standard 120mm fan and you would have to find some way of mounting the barbs :)
@HardwareCanucks and if you have a 2x140 mm radiator and want to mount it inside the case on top on the other side of where the ventilaters are? Would that fit or would that give trouble with the motherboard/cpu/whatever?
@HardwareCanucks and what about using a radbox or similar solution? my swifi H20 Apex Ultima kit came with it and i'ts really a life saver. btw, very nice review :)
This case looks almost exactly like Lian Li PC-7FN wich also have a window but the Lian Li PC 7FN don´t have a black interior, no fans at the top and is made of aluminum instead of steel.
But I have heard many complaints about Lian Li and their aluminum cases, the aluminum is very thin, (1mm) easily vibrates becuse of the low weight and aluminum doesn´t isolate noise as good as steel. Wich one should I choose? And I´m not interested in watercooling.
@orestesdd Very few manufacturer's still use removable motherboard trays; look for a few cases from Lian-Li or NZXT to include this though. As far as the V6 goes, the K-62 fits similar sized coolers like the NH-D14 (160mm H) with plently of room to spare, so the V6 GT won't be a problem
@HardwareCanucks Thanks. However, I am undecided if I should buy this case or the cooler master storm sniper black edition. Do you have any comments about these two cases?
Water cooling wasn't forgotten... there is nothing stopping you from getting a 2x140 rad, they do exist and have done for years. Forget about being limited to 120, 240 and 360 rads please. You are meant to be a reviewer of hardware, so get up to date.
As always very professional review/vid. This vid made me take a look at the Lancool side of LL cases. Probably will go with a PC-K60B in my next build; very much like the cable guide for PSU cables - it IS the the "little things like that", which make the Lancool cases appealing..
Hi, I have a PC-K62 and i need help removing the front 140mm fan to do a replacement.

i bought one after reading your review! cool reviews.. keep it up!
sprig9an007 1 year ago
@sprig9an007 i just read that you have bought it. I am thinking of buying this case. If i buy a 140x280 radiator, could it fit on the top inside the case? Or is there not enough room because of the motherboard?
UpYoursNightmare 1 year ago
@UpYoursNightmare hi.. i don't know cause' i don't use watercooling system for my rig.. sorry not much of a help..
sprig9an007 1 year ago
@sprig9an007 oke, thanks for your quick reaction though...
However, could you discribe how much room there is between the motherboard and the top op the case? about 3 centimeters? or less?
UpYoursNightmare 1 year ago
Are these fans loud? It looks easy to change the top fans so I am thinking about putting silent 140's in there

thanks
Jellytotz27 1 year ago
@Jellytotz27 You can remove(push out) that portion of the bezel. Notice that there is 2... 5 1/2 drive bay clips.

How you put the motherboard 8 pin through the hole? i got a problem doing so.
DemonCrucify 1 year ago
what about installing that dual radiator undercover top side of case ?
piterkub 1 year ago
@piterkub Unless you have a super thin rad, I don't think it will fit, the cover is pretty much flush with the fans, so it would need to be thinner than a standard 120mm fan and you would have to find some way of mounting the barbs :)
HardwareCanucks 1 year ago
@HardwareCanucks and if you have a 2x140 mm radiator and want to mount it inside the case on top on the other side of where the ventilaters are? Would that fit or would that give trouble with the motherboard/cpu/whatever?
UpYoursNightmare 1 year ago
@HardwareCanucks You couldn't do it like the 600T?
absolutehail 1 year ago
@HardwareCanucks and what about using a radbox or similar solution? my swifi H20 Apex Ultima kit came with it and i'ts really a life saver. btw, very nice review :)

thanks for the vid mate, this summary really convinced me to go out and buy the case! thanks again!
hottievids 1 year ago
This case looks almost exactly like Lian Li PC-7FN wich also have a window but the Lian Li PC 7FN don´t have a black interior, no fans at the top and is made of aluminum instead of steel.
But I have heard many complaints about Lian Li and their aluminum cases, the aluminum is very thin, (1mm) easily vibrates becuse of the low weight and aluminum doesn´t isolate noise as good as steel. Wich one should I choose? And I´m not interested in watercooling.

By the way, how much does a case like this one cost? I know that the CM Storm Sniper costs about $130. Anyhow, thanks.

Does any of these manufacturer's cases have a slide-out mobo tray? Could I fit a CM V6 GT cpu cooler?
orestesdd 1 year ago
@orestesdd Very few manufacturer's still use removable motherboard trays; look for a few cases from Lian-Li or NZXT to include this though. As far as the V6 goes, the K-62 fits similar sized coolers like the NH-D14 (160mm H) with plently of room to spare, so the V6 GT won't be a problem
HardwareCanucks 1 year ago
@HardwareCanucks Thanks. However, I am undecided if I should buy this case or the cooler master storm sniper black edition. Do you have any comments about these two cases?
orestesdd 1 year ago
what is the maximum number of fans that can it be installed?
xkill3rx 1 year ago
@xkill3rx There's only space for four fans. One 140mm on the front, two 140mm fans on the top, and one 120mm on the rear.

will it fit 5970
thelilhacker 1 year ago
Water cooling wasn't forgotten... there is nothing stopping you from getting a 2x140 rad, they do exist and have done for years. Forget about being limited to 120, 240 and 360 rads please. You are meant to be a reviewer of hardware, so get up to date.

doesnt this include 4pin to molex adapters? because i dont think my mother board has enough 4 pins and 3 pins
i also use a h50 with a 4pin and a 3pin

Would you recommend this case over the cm 692 advanced? I'm stuck between the two and I would really like to know since you've reviewed both.

As always very professional review/vid. This vid made me take a look at the Lancool side of LL cases. Probably will go with a PC-K60B in my next build; very much like the cable guide for PSU cables - it IS the the "little things like that", which make the Lancool cases appealing..
