Which Epi? The Futura oh wait do you have the Futura FX? I love those Epis, I want the EX soo bad, I love the overall style and I just prefer stopbar tail pieces.
Good call. We set up the effects with a solid body Les Paul with EMGs. Then in the studio we swapped it out with the Epi to accommodate the whammy bar use in the song. I don't have a monitor when we're filming, so I didn't catch the change in tone until after the whole thing was mastered.

I don't know, but we used them in the studio to nail all of their sounds, plus the Van Halen DVD we just finished. See the samples on YouTube.

You needed to scoop the mids out a bit, the opening riff wansnt poweful enough but the cleans sounded good.
